AceShowbiz - "Hamilton" actor Miguel Cervantes shared an update with fans as he and his wife mourn the death of their three-year-old daughter Adelaide following a lifelong battle with epilepsy.
Adelaide, who passed away on Saturday (October 12), suffered her first epileptic seizure at just seven-months-old, while Miguel was in the process of auditioning for Hamilton, and was diagnosed with both epilepsy and Infantile Spasms (IS).
Following the heartbreaking news, Miguel took to Twitter on Monday to thank fans for their support during the difficult time, and assure them the couple was doing their best to support one another.
"Dear everyone, Just wanted you to know that @KellyGC411, Jackson and I are doing ok," Miguel wrote, referring to his wife, Kelly, and their young son. "We are comforted knowing there are so many people sending positive vibes. We are seeing all of it."
"(Love) and thanks. We will be celebrating her life and legacy soon."
Miguel and Kelly announced the tragic news in a statement to People, which read: "The Cervantes family is heartbroken to announce that their baby girl Adelaide Grace passed away early Saturday morning."
"She was held in the loving arms of her family as she peacefully achieves the 'calm' for which they’ve been searching for so long."
Kelly also took to her own Instagram page to share a devastating photo of Adelaide's empty bedroom, writing: "The machines are off. Her bed is empty. The quiet is deafening. Miss Adelaide Grace left us early Saturday morning."
"She went peacefully in my arms and surrounded by love. Finally, she is free from pain, reactions and seizures but leaves our hearts shattered. We love you so much Adelaideybug and forever after."
