While insisting that no one has talked to her about the role just yet, the 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' actress jokes that she would have to get in super fit shape should she nail it.

AceShowbiz - Vanessa Kirby has played down chatter suggesting she's a top contender for the role of Catwoman in the next Batman movie, insisting she has not heard anything about the role.

The "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" star is flattered her name has been tied up in rumours surrounding director Matt Reeves' upcoming action blockbuster, "The Batman", but she insists no one is talking to her about the role - yet.

"I don't know anything about it," she told Entertainment Tonight, but revealed she would be very interested in a role opposite Robert Pattinson in the new movie.

"Are you kidding? I would love to be Catwoman," she beamed. "Oh my God, it would be a dream."

She went on to joke about getting in super fit shape to play the purr-fect Catwoman - a role that has been played on the big screen by Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway.

"I'll have to do lots of squats," Vanessa said. "I mean, literally, lots of squats."

"The Batman" is slated for release in 2021.
