Madonna Suffers Minor Injuries After Horseback Riding Accident

A representative for Madonna confirms the singer suffers minor injuries and bruises as a result of a horseback riding accident over the weekend.

AceShowbiz - Madonna was briefly hospitalized on Saturday, April 18 after experiencing horseback riding accident that resulted in her suffering minor injuries and bruises. The incident, according to reports, took place at the home of the singer's friend and famed photographer Steven Klein at the South Hampton, New York.

Soon following her fall, Madonna was rushed to a Southampton hospital by an ambulance to receive medical treatment. She was released later that day and will remain under observation by doctors.

"The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer, who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend," Madonna's longtime representative Liz Rosenberg confirmed in a statement, adding, "Madonna will be having further tests and will continue to remain under observation by doctors."

No immediate words have been released on the pop star's current condition though and telephone calls made to the authorities to seek comment on the incident also were not returned. Meanwhile, New York Post has the exclusive pictures of Madonna's horseback riding accident.

Horseback riding accident, in fact, wasn't something new for Madonna. On her 47th birthday back in August 2005, she broke her hand, collarbone and cracked three ribs after falling off a horse while riding on her London-area estate. The horse she was riding at that time was a gift from estranged husband Guy Ritchie.
