overall, this is a solid offering from Jon Stewart et all. It is smart, funny and goes exactly where you didn't expect it to go. A genuinely thought-provoking piece of satire which hits way more than it misses
Jon Stewart's entertaining satire; "Irresistible" doesn't have the sharp bite of a "Wag the Dog" or a "Bulworth", but it's a timely and entertaining satire with one of the most likable casts of the year
Jon Stewart delivers a timid, tonally confused political satire; this tedious film's biggest issues don't lie with its simplification of politics or often taking the feel-good easy route, but rather how flat the comedy lands
it's a flaccid, toothless, supercilious political non-satire for liberals too fastidious to take sides or take action; the supposed satirical attitude of "Irresistible can't conceal the fact that it's contrived, unfunny and redundant
Irresistible is a farce about political theater, and an often painfully funny one, but it's also a deeply unnerving manifesto on the pundit economy, campaign financing, and the narcissism, ego, and collective amnesia it all fosters

in theory, "Irresistible" is clever and scathingly illuminating.. In practice, however, the film depends on reveling in most of the cliches and stereotypes it says it's against
"Irresistible" is, for the most part, smart and humorous about the influence of money in politics; Despite a few missteps, this is the political comedy we need right now
"Irresistible" feels as vaguely disappointing as it does: a slick, goofy satire too broad and soft-bellied to do much more than push all that hot air around
