A series of names have been officially announced by New Line Cinema to play the characters in the upcoming sixth installment of the iconic scary movie franchise.

AceShowbiz - New Line Cinema has assembled a vibrant cast for "Final Destination: Bloodlines", the sixth installment in its long-running horror franchise.

The cast includes Brec Bassinger ("Stargirl"), Teo Briones ("Chucky"), Kaitlyn Santa Juana ("The Flash"), Richard Harmon ("The 100"), Anna Lore ("Gotham Knights"), Owen Patrick Joyner" ("Julie and the Phantoms"), Max Lloyd-Jones ("The Book of Boba Fett"), Rya Kihlstedt ("Obi-Wan Kenobi"), and Tinpo Lee ("The Manor").

The plot of the new film remains shrouded in secrecy, continuing the franchise's tradition of thrilling audiences with unexpected twists and turns. Currently in production in Vancouver, "Final Destination: Bloodlines" is directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, the team behind "Freaks".

Jon Watts, the director of "Spider-Man: No Way Home", and Dianne McGunigle are producing the film alongside Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor, veterans of the "Final Destination" franchise.

Launched in 2000 with Final Destination, the franchise has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide, centering on a group of characters who experience vivid premonitions of deadly events and must cheat death to survive.

In a unique twist, during their pitch meeting for the film over Zoom, Lipovsky and Stein orchestrated a mock death scene involving a fire and a malfunctioning ceiling fan that decapitated one of the filmmakers. The stunt, which combined pre-recorded footage and visual effects, reportedly impressed executives and sealed the deal for their appointment as directors.

"Final Destination: Bloodlines" is scheduled for release in 2025, marking the 25th anniversary of the original film.
