The Oscar and Emmy Awards winner touches on the gender pay gap months after Taraji P. Henson revealed that she got 'paid a fraction of the cost' of white women as a black actress.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Colman is another star to speak up about pay disparity in Hollywood. "The Crown" actress suggested in a new interview that she would've earned more money if she were a male actor.

"Don't get me started on the pay disparity, but male actors get paid more because they used to say they drew in the audiences," the 50-year-old said on CNN's "The Amanpour Hour". She added, "And actually, that hasn't been true for decades but they still like to use that as a reason to not pay women as much as their male counterparts."

Host Christiane Amanpour then asked Olivia if she's experienced pay disparity herself as an Oscar winner. In response, the English native declared, "I'm very aware that if I was Oliver Colman, I'd be earning a f**k of a lot more than I am... I know of one pay disparity, which is a 12,000 percent difference."

While Olivia touched on the gender pay gap, Taraji P. Henson recently revealed that she got "paid a fraction of the cost" of white women as a black actress. "I'm just tired of working so hard, being gracious at what I do, and getting paid a fraction of the cost. I'm tired of hearing my sisters saying the same thing over and over. I hear people go, 'You work a lot.' Well, I have to," she lamented during a SiriusXM interview with Gayle King in December 2023.

"The math ain't math-ing. When you start working a lot, you have a team. Big bills come with what we do," the "Empire" alum explained. She then continued, "We don't do this alone. It's a whole team behind us. They have to get paid."

"When you hear someone go, 'Such and such made $10 million,' that didn't make it to their account," she elaborated. "Off the top, Uncle Sam is getting 50%. Now have $5 million. Your team is getting 30% of what you gross, not after what Uncle Sam took. Now do the math."
