Jenner shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, posting a carousel of photos featuring Houghton throughout her life. "It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly," she wrote.
Jenner described Houghton as "the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny." She recalled Houghton's gratitude and appreciation for her life, family, and friends, particularly her daughter Natalie Zettel.
Jenner emphasized the brevity and preciousness of life, urging everyone to express their love for their cherished ones. "Karen's passing is a reminder that life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised," she wrote.
According to TMZ, Houghton's death was due to natural causes. She was survived by her daughter Zettel and fiance Noah, who had proposed in July 2022.
