The 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' songstress shares a rare photo of the less favorite side of her face after celebrating New Year's Eve without her former longtime boyfriend.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey embraces her imperfection as she welcomes the new year. The R&B diva has shown her "bad side" in a rare picture after celebrating the holidays as a newly-single following her split from Bryan Tanaka.

On early Monday, January 1, the mother of two took to her Instagram account to share the photo seemingly taken during a New Year's Eve party. In the image, she glammed up in a sparkly, stone-covered Retrofete mini dress as her hair was styled in long curls.

The "My All" songstress posed in front of a cluster of balloons while showing her less favorite side of her face, which she rarely showed before. In the caption, she declared, "New year, new beginnings..taking a picture from my 'bad side'!"

Many have taken to the comments section to assure Mariah that she looks great anyway. One of those singing praise for the 54-year-old singer was Tamar Braxton, who penned, "You will never have a bad side MC."

Another user wrote, "Where is the bad side exactly?" A third commented, "Every side is the good side dahhhhling." Similarly, a fourth person added, "You don't have a bad side dahlinggg."

Mariah is currently single after calling it quits with her boyfriend of seven years Bryan. Following Internet speculation, the dancer confirmed the news on social media on December 26.

"With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together," he began his statement posted on Instagram. "Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with profound requests and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we've shared. The memories we've created and the artistic collaborations are etched in my heart forever."

Despite no longer being an item, Bryan had nothing but praises for his now-ex. "Mariah's dedication to her family and her commitment to her craft have inspired us during our shared journey," he gushed. "I want to express my love and appreciation for Mariah and her incredible children, whose warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways words cannot capture."

Mariah and Bryan were first romantically involved in 2016 after they began working together professionally back in 2006. In 2017, they briefly split, but later got back together. They were last seen together publicly in March when the "Hero" hitmaker celebrated her birthday.
