AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey has reportedly moved on from Brian Tanaka by dating a more accomplished man. Rumor has it that the R&B diva is now in a romantic relationship with none other than fellow singer Lenny Kravitz.
As reported by Deuxmoi in its latest podcast episode, the two artists allegedly started seeing each other since November 2023, around the time of her split from Brian, which was only reported in December.
They reportedly have been seen together at multiple events where they appeared booed up. Lenny was even spotted at Mariah's Christmas concert in Los Angeles last year. They allegedly also had a discreet dinner at Craigs restaurant in West Hollywood earlier this year.
Per the account's report, the rumored new couple plans to go public with their relationship at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony which is set to take place in the fall.
Prior to this, Mariah was in a longtime relationship with her former backup dancer Brian. Their split news first surfaced in late last year, when people noticed his absence from her shows, which he had become a fixture at since they started dating in 2016.
The 40-year-old dancer confirmed their breakup after seven years together in a statement released in December. "With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together," he began his message on Instagram.
"Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with profound requests and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we've shared," he added. "The memories we've created and the artistic collaborations are etched in my heart forever."
Despite no longer being an item, Bryan sang praise for his now-ex as he continued, "Mariah's dedication to her family and her commitment to her craft have inspired us during our shared journey. I want to express my love and appreciation for Mariah and her incredible children, whose warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways words cannot capture."
As for Lenny, he was previously married to actress Lisa Bonet from 1987 until their divorce which was finalized in 1993. The former spouses share daughter Zoe Kravitz.
