According to a new report, the 'Yeah!' singer has been desperately trying to get the 'Sorry' hitmaker to join him in headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2024.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber is wanted by Usher. According to a new report, the "OMG" singer has been desperately trying to get the "Sorry" hitmaker to join him in headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2024.

Daily Mail claimed that despite Usher's effort, Justin wasn't interested in sharing the stage with his former mentor. The 29-year-old Canadian star reportedly wanted to be "focusing on his health" after suffering from facial paralysis.

An insider said, "Usher has been doing his residency in Vegas and has most of his ideas ready for his big halftime show performance. He really wants to prove himself worthy of such an honor because he definitely sees that the excitement level for him doing it is not at an all-time high."

"He has asked some of his friends who are artists to help him out and join him on stage, and he has thrown a few ideas towards Justin," the source continued. The "What Do You Mean?" singer, however, allegedly hopes to headline the NFL event by himself someday.

"Justin is flattered that one of his mentors, Usher wants him to be a part of the Super Bowl, but he is leaning towards letting Usher do his thing and Justin would rather have the opportunity to do the Super Bowl on his own in the future if he were to be asked," the source noted. "That is the more sought-after option for Justin when it has anything to do with performing at the event."

Usher was confirmed last September to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2024. In a video, the NFL, Apple and Roc Nation announced the news that the "Love in This Club" star would be fronting the 2024 show on February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, just outside Las Vegas.

Prior to this, Usher told Access Hollywood about the chance to play the Super Bowl show, "I'd be a fool to say no. If things line up the way we would all hope, one day that moment would happen. I've had the opportunity to grace the stage in support of 'OMG' and will.i.am but that was one moment."
