Although Oreo is not a big fan of his HBO series, the Canadian crooner refuses to have a feud with the cookie brand because of 'too many beautiful memories.'

AceShowbiz - The Weeknd seemingly wasn't too annoyed by Oreo's recent diss at his show, "The Idol". Although the cookie brand was not a big fan of the singer's HBO series, the "Save Your Tears" hitmaker declared that he can't have a beef with it because of some reason.

It all started after an official account of Oreo responded to news about "The Idol" alleged cancellation. "#TheIdol will reportedly not return for a second season," so read a tweet from PopCrave. In response, Oreo wrote, "finally some good news."

The post didn't go unnoticed by The Weeknd, who later replied, "Oh f**k they been talkin s**t." However, a few minutes later, the Canadian crooner stated, "Naw I can't beef with you @Oreo too many beautiful memories… I'm dunking you in some champagne tonight."

"The Idol" has been receiving negative responses since its premiere due to his role and its disturbing sex scene with Lily-Rose Depp. The singer, however, has explained the reason why he made his character Tedros extremely despicable.

"I wanted to make sure we felt so disgusted by this character. When you think about real-life scumbags, especially brainwashing cult leader types like him, there are so many directions you can go," he explained to Complex. "I went into it, like, 'Why pull the punches? Why take you down a journey and romanticize him? Let's just jump right into it. He's a f**king scumbag.' "

"So with him, I wanted to make sure that we focused on him finding someone's vulnerability, finding what makes them tick, and then press on that, exploiting what they're missing," he added. "I feel like they filled that gap, and that's what Tedros is doing with Jocelyn. But the truth is, behind all that calculation and endless rehearsal, he's just f**king pathetic. He's small, he has no appeal whatsoever."
