AceShowbiz - The Weeknd has got his fans concerned about his mental health after he posted a cryptic tweet. Updating his page on the micro-blogging site, he left what sounds like an alarming message as he bid farewell to "Earth."
"goodbye earth...," read the tweet posted by the Grammy Award-winning artist on late Tuesday, May 2. Without any context and further explanation given on his tweet, many soon expressed their concern about the star.
"If you need somebody to talk . i'm here Please don't do it," a follower preemptively advised the "Save Your Tears" singer. Another asked, "Ummmm you good bro??" A third fan left a similar message on his tweet, "you good bro ?" while someone else tried to think positive as saying, "I hope this means you're in album mode and not feeling bad."
Some people suggested that The Weeknd was just high from smoking weed or he was teasing a new song. "He's just smoking some weed, bout to catch a flight outta this world," one of them quipped. Another remarked, "Praying that's a new song," as one other assumed, "That mean he's high out of this world y'all know he gets high n most of songs talk bout it."
Others took the tweet lightly and joked in response to his post. "Mars here we come soon," someone wrote in the reply. Another enthused, "He bout to go to pluto," while someone else similarly added, "He went to outer space yall he's a star boy relax."
The Weeknd has not posted a follow-up tweet, but he was still active on Instagram a few hours ago. Shortly after posting the cryptic tweet, he shared via his Stories several pictures of him attending what looks like a party with his friends. Wearing a black outfit, he appeared to be in good spirits as he shared a hug with a pal in one of the snaps.
