Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell in Talks for 'Iron Man 2' Villain Roles

Mickey Rourke is reportedly in talks to star as Crimson Dynamo in the sequel of 'Iron Man', while Sam Rockwell is said to be negotiating to play Tony Stark's rival, Justin Hammer.

Two actors have been linked to the villain roles in "". Latest reports for the sequel to the hit superhero movie "" have pointed out that and are both in negotiation to star opposite as his heroic character's latest opponents.

On what character Rourke is eyeing, Variety claimed that the star of "" may end up to portray Crimson Dynamo, a heavily tattooed Russian arms dealer who is considered to be an evil version of Iron Man. Rockwell, in the meantime, is reported by The Hollywood Reporter to play multi-billionaire businessman Justin Hammer, who happens to be Tony Stark's rival.

"Iron Man 2" will be directed by Jon Favreau using the script written by "" co-scribbler Justin Theroux. Seeing the return of Robert Downey Jr. as the superhero in armored iron suit and as Virginia "Pepper" Potts, this sequel picks up in place of 's Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes. Set for May 7, 2010 U.S. release, it is reported to have a spring start in Manhattan Beach.
