August 22, 2008 03:08:36Jumping from the big screen to singing vintage soul, Terrence Howard has just premiered a music video, where he picks up guitar and strums the tune away. The video is aimed at promoting his new song called "Sanctuary" off his debut album entitled "Shine Through It". His first album is planned to hit the stores on September 2.
In an interview, Terrence says that his first tune is inspired by Heidi Klum's love story. He also admits giving a light-rock, jazzy feel to some of his songs, like "Love Makes You Beautiful" and anti-materialist "Plenty". Furthermore, he declares that he has written songs talking about childhood in "Mr. Johnson's Lawn", and grown-up romance in "No. 1 Fan", "She Was Mine", and "Spanish Romance". For its music arrangements, Terrence is reported to give rooms for flutes, trumpets, saxophones and violas.
Terrence Howard to Release Debut Album in September

For the upcoming record, Terrence wrote and produced the songs himself, and on one track he will be teaming up with Chris Brown. Stating the reason he wants to make a record, the actor/singer said, "Music has always been the road that leads to where I'm headed. Film is my vocation, my 9 to 5. In the movies, I'm doing what somebody else is asking me to do. Music is my own personal form of expression."
Actor Terrence Howard Landed a Recording Deal

According to the label's representative the full name of the project is Terrence Howard Presents Me and The Band of Kings. Reports said that Howard would be singing instead of rapping and have musical backing by the live band.

The two will develop a biographical feature of legendary singer Charley Pride which is not yet titled. Howard is said to be billed as the country icon and will sing his songs and play guitar for the project as Joaquin Phoenix did in "Walk the Line." "The Crusaders" Is Lining Up for the Big Screen

A Supreme Court case back in 1954, a lawsuit of Brown vs. Board of Education, is the base for New Line's silver screen project entitled "The Crusaders".
The story tells about a lawsuit aiming to end segregation in schools, which was handled by Jack Greenberg and Thurgood Marshall. Greenberg himself is a recent law school grad, while Marshall, the head of the NAACP's Legal Defense Fund, was eventually the first African-American Supreme Court justice.

Terrence Howard to Deal with the Crusaders

A feature about the early legal career of the first black Supreme Court justice, the film is the true story of Marshall as seen through the eyes of Jack Greenberg, a dedicated young lawyer who became the only white member of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and who fought side by side with Marshall in the courts to destroy segregation. When he worked for the NAACP, Marshall won 29 of the 32 cases he argued before the Supreme Court.
