'Zombieland' Takes a Bite Off North American Box Office
October 05, 2009 09:10:37The undead has stormed into the North American box office as "Zombieland" debuted atop the chart. Being screened at around 3,900 screens at 3,036 sites over the weekend, the horror comedy from director Ruben Fleischer collected $24.7 million and took over the crowned first place from "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs".
Starring Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg as the two leading men, "Zombieland" has earned more than its $23.6 million budget. With the opening bow, the movie also scored a second place in the highest-grossing start record for zombie movies, behind Zack Snyder-directed 2004 horror remake, "Dawn of the Dead".

Four 'Zombieland' Clips Arrive
September 24, 2009 01:09:43Two weeks shy of its theatrical release, "Zombieland" has got four brand new clips unleashed. Two clips, "Be A Hero" and "Courching Tiger", come out courtesy of MySpace, one titled "Prospecting" is brought forth by Hollywood.com, and the last called "The Rule" is put out by Fandango.
The "Be A Hero" clip sees Jesse Eisenberg's Columbus trying to save Emma Stone's Wichita by taking on a zombie clown. The "Courching Tiger" snippet, in the meantime, centers the attention when Columbus and Woody Harrelson's Tallahassee are taken hostage by Abigail Breslin's Little Rock.

Struggling to survive the zombie mayhem, Columbus teams up with badass Tallahassee. Columbus is described as a young man who has made habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee, on the other hand, doesn't have any fears. Together they are traveling across the nation to seek for a safe place away from the zombies' reach.

Comic Con Trailer for 'Zombieland' Found
July 31, 2009 11:07:42The trailer for "Zombieland" which has been screened at San Diego Comic Con has made its way out. Letting out several never-before-seen footage, the promo video gives out a better sense of what the movie is all about. Though so, the trailer does feature an unfinished look of some scenes with the green screen being able to be spotted on.
In the movie, Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg star as zombie-slayin' badass Tallahassee and big wuss Columbus respectively. Living in a world plagued with zombies, these two unlikely duo finds a way to survive. When traveling across the nation from coast to coast to find the one place they will be safe from the living dead, they meet Emma Stone's Wichita and Abigail Breslin's Little Rock, who also figure a unique way to survive.

Columbia Pictures Brewing Zombie Comedy Pic Zombieland
December 14, 2007 04:12:18Shifting attention to horror comedy after releasing scare flick "30 Days of Night", Columbia Pictures is now developing a movie of the kind titled "Zombieland", Variety has revealed.
The studio is said to currently be in negotiations with Ruben Fleischer to get him as the project's director. Meanwhile, story revolves around the most frightened guy on Earth who leads a motley crew of survivors in a world overrun by zombies. The film's title itself refers to an old funeral home that is turned into a morbid attraction.

Saw this movie didn't expect much.... but it was funny as hell didn't take its self to seriously. I was lucky enough to get to see a sneak preview and was amazed.

Amazing movie. Go in expecting nothing and you will love it. Expect lots and it will still be great! Better than fido and shaun of the dead. A MUST SEE!!!!
