Three Intense Clips From 'Valkyrie' Released

Three "" fresh clips have been put forward by IESB. Entitled "Plenty of Time", "Not All Like Him" and "North Africa", each of the clips presents a scene with main character, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg played by , as the center of attention.

While the "Plenty of Time" clip focuses on the time von Stauffenberg and his fellow resistance member assemble two bombs in his office, the "Not All Like Him" clip shows him demanding a certainty that the dangerous operation has the chance of success. The last one, "North Africa", follows von Stauffenberg in North Africa where his troops is being attack from the air.

In anticipation to the nearing wide release of "", United Artists have got together a special interactive timeline for the drama thriller based on the true story of the daring and ingenious plot to assassinate Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler. The July 20th plot interactive timeline chronicles the momentous occurrences from the day Hitler was appointed as Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933.

Other than giving out the prominent dates and events throughout 1933 to 1944 that shaped the elaborate scheme, the July 20th plot interactive timeline also provides photos and detailed information behind a specific date listed. So far, the timeline has yet to reach the July 20, 1944, the day the planned assassination will be delivered. It is stopped at the "Turning Point" on June 7, 1944, but description on the particular date promises that the July 20th plot will be unfolded.

Containing many fresh snippets from the movie, the video footage highlights on the works the 43-year-old did for the movie.

On Wednesday, August 13, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures have announced that they will release the -starring drama thriller a day after Christmas Day on December 26.

Earlier, "Valkyrie" has undergone several changes on its release date. It was originally slated for August 8 which then pushed forward to June 27. However, to avoid competition with Pixar's "" and Universal Pictures' "", it was delayed to October 3. The last alteration done to the schedule was done in April. At the time, the Bryan Singer-directed film was pushed back to February 13, 2009.

Back in early April, the controversial drama thriller "" has undergone schedule changes with the moving back of its release date. Since then, any reports from the movie starring was unheard of. But, recently there is a new report bursting out. It suggested that the flick is going back to resume its production to do several re-shooting of major scenes.

First to come out with the news was Variety editor-in-chief Peter Bart. He wrote in his blog that Cruise will fly to North Africa to film three vital scenes of the tidbit. The article containing possible spoiler read, "Cruise will be shooting three scenes in North Africa within the next three weeks. In one, his character, Col. Claus Von Stauffenberg, is badly injured but survives, a key moment in the film's first act."

The World War II drama thriller starring has experienced another shifting schedule for its release date. According to Hollywood Reporter, the MGM-distributed movie, which earlier has been moved from its original July 4 release to October 3, has been delayed once again as the film is now reported to hit the theaters on February 13, 2009.

The announcement of the pushing back of the release date reportedly was made by Cruise and United Artist, which produced the film, on Monday, April 7. Hollywood Reporter further revealed that the decision of making the second release date changes was taken after 's comedy sequel "" and -starrer horror thriller "" have been moved to another date. On this new date, 'Valkyrie' will be up against romantic comedy "" and horror thriller "".

The featurette seemingly is an elaborated version of the promotional clip shown previously on Entertainment Tonight. Much of the content is more or less the same, still featuring tons of shots on as Claus von Stauffenberg and interviews with the cast as well as the film's crew, only the footage is presented in different order.

German government has a change of mind on Bryan Singer-directed "", the WWII thriller based on the July Plot of German officials to assassinate Hitler. Delighting the filmmakers, the country’s finance ministry finally decided to let the project use the Bendlerblock, the original site where conspirators of the assassination plot were executed.

Spokesman for the ministry, Thorsten Albig, told Bild newspaper there had been a change of heart about allowing the film’s crew to shoot at the site, now a memorial and national German shrine. Known to be responsible for all property owned by the German federal government, the department initially denied the producers permission to take scenes there, explaining that it should be treated as a "place of remembrance and mourning" which would "lose dignity if we were to exploit it as a film set."

Awful happening struck Bryan Singer's WWII thriller "" when eleven people got injured upon falling off the back of a truck in filming a scene for the flick in Berlin, Germany, local police informed on Monday, August 20, 2007.

Reports claimed the accident occurred after a side panel of the truck carrying the eleven burst open as the vehicle drove around a corner in central Berlin on Sunday evening (August 19). One was seriously hurt and had to remain in hospital for further treatment with filming being halted following the occurrence.

Looks like the filmmakers of "" can indeed move forward with plan to shoot the flick in Germany now as the German Defense Ministry signaled on Thursday, June 28 that it has no opposition to the WWII thriller shooting in the country despite its recent ban on it because of 's Scientology belief.

While not receiving an official request from the movie's producers United Artists (UA) to do the filming, the Defense Ministry stated it "would look agreeably" upon any such application. A spokesman to the ministry further added that the government body in fact is not responsible for approving film shoots at Berlin's Benderblock, where "Valkyrie" producers intend to take important scenes, since the site is under the authority of Germany's Finance Ministry.

British paper The Guardian has came up with an interesting scoop that the project from now on is referred as "", a title derived from the code name of the plot to assassinate Nazi leader Adolf Hitler which its story deals with.

Intended to be a multi-character ensemble piece, the flick revolves around real-life Nazi officer Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg who, together with several others, conducted an assassination attempt on Hitler at the height of WWII also a military coup against the German Fuhrer. Both were failed, leading Stauffenberg to be executed by firing squad on July 21, 1944.

Slated to be the filmmaker's next directorial effort, the picture will have a WWII setting and be similar to his 1995 effort "The Usual Suspects" in that it is a multi-character ensemble piece. Not only that, "Suspects" scribe Chris McQuarrie has also been brought along into the flick to pen the screenplay as well as to produce alongside Singer.
