Movie Story
Two brothers, Carter (Adam Rothenberg) and Ellis (Ethan Peck), embark on a journey from New Mexico to find their estranged father in the hopes of saving Ellis, who has been diagnosed with terminal leukemia. Along the way they meet Krystal (Mariah Carey), an aspiring singer who running from her abusive husband. She joins them on their journey and they begin to grow closer, and the truth of their journey comes to light.

posted by MImi on Jan 11, 2009Very taut, gripping drama of conflict, dysfunction and redemption. Excellent acting and direction. Superbly written and incredible choices for actors. Watched it in theatre yesterday and audience applauded at end. Great follow up for Lee Daniels to "Monsters' Ball."
