Ten years after the events of the original film, struggling cartoonist Tim Avery (Jamie Kennedy) accidentally stumbles upon the magical Norse artifact that turns its wearer into a living cartoon. When his wife gives birth to their son, Alvey, the baby inherits the mask's chaotic powers, causing a whirlwind of slapstick mayhem that turns their suburban life upside down. The mischievous infant can defy physics, transform everyday objects, and unleash cartoonish chaos at every turn, much to Tim's dismay. Meanwhile, the trickster god Loki (Alan Cumming) is dispatched by his father Odin to retrieve the mask, and he will stop at nothing to reclaim it. As Loki closes in, Tim must learn to control his son's unpredictable abilities before the god's wrath destroys their family.
