Next James Bond Film Gets Writers
June 13, 2009 01:06:31The latest news coming in for "Bond 23" suggested that the latest installment of the superspy series is stepping closer into production with the hiring of its writers. For this new Bond movie, producers have brought in the Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Peter Morgan to pen the screenplay.
46-year-old Morgan, who is known for his work in "The Queen", "Frost/Nixon" and "The Last King of Scotland", won't be working on the script alone though. He will be joined by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have co-written the past four Bond features that include "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace".

"I'm done with that story. I want to lie on a beach for the first half an hour of the next movie drinking a cocktail."
Explaining further, the 40-year-old actor insisted, "We've finished this story as far as I'm concerned. We've got a great set of bad guys. There is an organization that we can use whenever we want to. The relationship between Bond and M is secure and Felix is secure." Sharing out the heavy topic dealt by some of the main characters in the action movie, the newly-found footage are focused on revealing the conversations among the characters, especially Bond, M, Camille and Dominic Greene.
The first three clips posted below, "It's Time to Go", "Damaged Goods" and "Have You Ever Killed Someone?", leave out the action sequence aside. In "Time to Go", M points out Bond's flaw as the 007 criticizes her judgment, while "Damaged Goods" displays the first meeting between Bond and Camille through Greene.

Screened widely for the first time in the Great Britain on Friday, October 31, the 22nd installment of the James Bond movie has broken the U.K.'s biggest Friday opening of all time previously held by "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".
Overshadowing the success of "Goblet of Fire", which raked in $6.5 million upon its November 2005 release, the Daniel Craig-starring action movie pulled in $7.9 million from its Friday opening alone. The amazing number of sales also surpassed what "Casino Royale" has earned on its first day in Britain as "Royale" garnered $4.7 million at the time.

'Quantum of Solace' Soundtrack Cover Art Hints Film's Finale

It features grubby James Bond and Camille walking away from a burning Dominic Greene's headquarters in a distance. It is an integrated ad campaign promoting Coke Zero which features an instrumental piece for the high-octane movie by The White Stripes' frontman Jack White. Made in distinctive red and black of Coke Zero, the video displays Bond pursuing a woman, involved in a car chase and exchanging fist with a villain only to get his hand on Coke Zero.
This promotional video is a part of the deal between Coca-Cola and Sony Entertainment that has rebranded Coke Zero as Zero Zero 7. The signing up of Coca-Cola with Sony was revealed early September. Commenting on the campaign, brand director for Coca-Cola Great Britain, Bobby Brittain, said that the ad "combines the drama of James Bond with the essence of Coca-Cola Zero in a stylish and contemporary fashion".

After a limited edition Aston Martin got into a terrible plunge into Lake Garda, Italy on Saturday, April 19, another serious accident occurred on the Italian set of the highlighted action film. This time, the incident may jeopardize the film as the shooting is now halted.
On the accident, a local official revealed on Thursday, April 24, that a near-fatal car crash happened on the set of "Solace" on Wednesday, April 23, when an experienced stuntman got serious head injury while filming the 15 minutes car chase sequence along the Gardesana, the winding road around Lake Garda. Reportedly, Aris Comninos, the stunt driver of an Alfa Romeo car, Bond's villain vehicle, got into a collision with a lorry and crashed into the side wall of the road. Beside Comninos, the co-driver was also injured though wasn't as serious as his fellow stuntman. The two had been brought into Borgo Trento hospital in Verona.

British newspaper The Guardian has brought in tidbits that the project may head back to Prague as representatives of the country's Barrandov Studios, where part of "Casino Royale" was shot, has reportedly been in talks with Sony Pictures and MGM to get it filmed at its pit.
In attaining the goal, however, the company has first to face tough competition from UK's Pinewood Studios which appears to be very determined in winning the series back after last year's fire incident. Very disappointing. Blame it on Marc Foster. To begin with, he is a wrong director to direct a James Bond movie. Bond is a tradition not a sappy avant-garde form that Foster is used to playing with.

What a let down for bond fans. It's full of unclear plot, character development and pointless actions. This is not a bond film. Only the name says it. What a waste of talent and all the money spent.

posted by ... on Nov 14, 2008I saw Quantum of Solace twice. First time for curiosity and expectation and second time for confirmation. I am a big bond fan like many of you. I can watch any bond film without a problem. I know that there are some of you out there who have problems with some of the Bond actors. Connery, Roger, Pierce, and Craig, I personally love them all as 007 and I've enjoyed pretty much every single bond movie. There is just something about bond films that I get excited and mesmerized by. Anyway speaking of Quantum of Solace, I am really confused by what the hell they did to this film and why the hell they hired Marc Foster to direct this. Plus, is this really highest budgeted bond film?? are you kidding me??? god... Anyway, quantum is a huge huge huge disappointment. At one point, I couldn't believe this was a bond movie. There are just so many damn problems such as plot flow, direction, character development, very uninteresting villains, and most importantly, all the Bond story and character elements have been stripped away. I think they made a huge mistake by hiring some retards that are into sappy avant garde movies. Foster and his crew destroyed pretty much everything that Casino Royale had accomplished to revive the franchise. Anyway, in my opinion, Quantum of solace was just awful and probably one of the worst bond movies I've ever seen. Craig's talent and Bond franchise are definitely put in jeopardy. However, this movie will make lots of profit and do well in the box office due to success of its predecessor "casino royale." Unfortunately, the main motivation of the viewer will be pure "curiosity' and expectation driven by all the media hypes. I am sorry to say this but this movie is a flop. As a bond fan, I am really pissed off by this.

I really wanted to like the movie but I came out shaking my head. Great hand to hand fighting scenes but clearer plot please.

posted by ange on Nov 17, 2008someone needs to kick marc forster (the director of this mess)in the balls .. worst produced movie ever .. like watching an earthquake through a letterbox, i felt sick 10mins in and one girl left the theatre and puked before she made it out.. haha couldnt focus on anything or follow the storyline at all. why why why change directors from casino royal .. two entirely different movies. disaster !!!
