Held at Ziegfeld Theater in New York on Tuesday, February 3, the studio gave a unique welcome to the attendees by bringing life-size cartoon character, The Pink Panther, to the pink carpet.
Several cast members seen coming to the special screening were Steve Martin, Aishwarya Rai, Andy Garcia, Emily Mortimer, Jean Reno, Yuki Matsuzaki, Armel Bellec and Jack Metzger. While Rai was accompanied by her husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, Martin arrived in-style driving the red-and-silver Smart Fortwo car used by Jacques Clouseau in the film.

Seven Clips and Three TV Spots From 'The Pink Panther 2'
January 28, 2009 01:01:26In anticipation to the upcoming release of "The Pink Panther 2", seven clips and three TV spots from the comedy movie have been put forth. While some of the clips share never-before-seen footage cut out from the Steve Martin-starring movie, some others serve as the extended versions from several scenes seen in the trailers.
Five of the seven clips, titled "Bottle of Wine", "Fire", "Don Corleone", "Hamburger", "Element of Surprise", are newly-released, providing sneak peeks to the hilarious scenes with Inspector Jacques Clouseau as the source of the craziness. Meanwhile, the other two, "Karate Master" and "Look at the Moon", have been put out days earlier.

December 24, 2008 11:12:40When the legendary pink panther diamond has gone missing for the second time, the bumbling French police inspector, Jacques Clouseau, assembles an international dream team to aid him in solving the case. And, in the brand new trailer of "The Pink Panther 2", one can catch a glimpse of his new team.
Though the footage doesn't exactly introduce each of Clouseau's team members, it can be seen that his team consists of Alfred Molina as Chief Inspector Randall Pepperidge, Aishwarya Rai as criminology expert Sonia, Jean Reno as Gendarme Gilbert Ponton and Andy Garcia as Inspector Vicenzo Brancaleone. Apart from teasing the other characters in the sequel, the trailer also shares more on the problems caused by Clouseau. One in particular is the blackout of Paris.

New 'Pink Panther 2' Trailer Shares a Glimpse of Aishwarya Rai
November 07, 2008 10:11:51Inspector Jacques Clouseau is back. When the legendary Pink Panther diamond is once again stolen, the bumbling and incompetent French police inspector is called in to team up with a squad of International detectives who are just as clumsy as he is. Appointed to stop a daring cat burglar, The Tornado, from stealing historical artifacts, Clouseau and his team fall in a new outrageous adventure to solve the case.
Through the new trailer of "The Pink Panther 2", a little bit of the comedy movie's plot is unraveled and many of the tickling scenes are presented. In the more-than-two-minute video, it can be seen that Steve Martin returns to his comical role as Clouseau. He is joined once again by John Cleese as Chief Inspector Dreyfus, Jean Reno as Gilbert Ponton and Emily Mortimer as Nicole Nuveau, while Andy Garcia and Aishwarya Rai pick up the role as Inspector Vicenzo Brancaleone and Sophie Solandres for the first time respectively.

Steve Martin's 'Pink Panther 2' Offers Ludicrous Teaser Trailer
June 09, 2008 10:06:35In 2006, most moviegoers were tickled out by the performance of Steve Martin as the bumbling French police detective Jacques Clouseau in "The Pink Panther". Now, the comedian is attempting to force laughters out from the moviegoers once again through the upcoming "Pink Panther" sequel. But, since the comedy film is still months away from its trailer release, Sony Pictures have brought out first the teaser trailer of "The Pink Panther 2".
This teaser surely won't give out any details to the follow-up movie since it isn't compiled from the footages from the new film. Instead, the less than two minutes video footage seems to be especially made to remind people of the comical French detective. By that, it means that the teaser focuses at Clouseau and his inept behavior as he tries to see a matinee by any means necessary. The video is arguably very funny and Martin's fans who expect him reprising his role as Clouseau can once again hear his laughable French accent.

On the development of the third comedy movie, it is reported that the film's star Steve Martin and producer Robert Simonds have started to work their way with the writers.
First to bring up the news to the media attention was Variety. Still, up to date, reports on the subject are still stuck merely on the talking with the writers. There is no elaboration made and thus, there is a possibility that the film may not be done after all.
