When three thirtysomething friends find their lives mired in adult responsibilities and monotony, they launch a hilarious and chaotic rebellion against growing up in the raucous comedy Todd Phillips’s Old School. After a painful breakup, mild-mannered Mitch, played by Luke Wilson, moves into a house near a college campus, inspiring his charismatic and scheming friend Beanie (Vince Vaughn) to propose they start their own fraternity. They are joined by the recently married and domestically stifled Frank “The Tank” (Will Ferrell), who seizes the chance to relive his wild youth. As their makeshift fraternity, dubbed “The Old School,” attracts a motley crew of misfit students and fellow disillusioned adults, it draws the furious attention of the university’s slick and ambitious dean (Jeremy Piven), who is determined to shut them down. This riotous journey of arrested development celebrates the absurd lengths friends will go to reclaim a sense of freedom, delivering a steady stream of outrageous antics and heartfelt camaraderie that challenges the very notion of what it means to act your age.
