'The Informers' Goes to L.A. for Premiere

Senator Entertainment's drama thriller "The Informers" has got a red carpet treatment on Thursday, April 16 for its Los Angeles premiere. Taking place at ArcLight Theater, the special screening event was attended by two of its prominent stars, Academy Award-nominated actor Mickey Rourke and award-winning actress Kim Basinger.

In addition to both of them, cast members, Austin Nichols, Jon Foster, Jessica Stroup, Lou Taylor Pucci and Rhys Ifans, as well as director Gregor Jordan were also present for the special occasion. Meanwhile, the celebrity guests spotted on the evening included "Step Up 2 the Streets" beauty Briana Evigan, music composer Christopher Young, TV personality Katie Price and Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat.

Star-studded ensemble drama thriller from director Gregor Jordan, "The Informers", has just got an unrated trailer and a clip. While the unrated trailer was sent out by Senator Entertainment via MovieWeb, the short clip which features Mickey Rourke and the late Brad Renfro was previewed exclusively by Cinematical.

"The Informers" is based on Bret Easton Ellis' book of short stories published in 1994. Set in Los Angeles in 1983, it revolves around seven interconnected stories of movie executives, rock stars and other morally challenged characters as they mix and mingle in the course of a week. The story is said to be a flashback to the nihilistic world of Ellis' youth.

Introducing the star-studded drama movie based on Bret Easton Ellis' 1994 collection of short stories, Senator International present the R-rated trailer of "The Informers". Filled with foul language and nudity, the trailer takes more than 3 minutes to be fully watched and showcases a line of talented actors, including Winona Ryder, Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke and the late Brad Renfro.

Set in Los Angeles in 1983, the Gregor Jordan-directed movie follows seven interconnected stories of movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in the course of a week. Though expected to open sometime in 2008, the exact release date of "Informers" has yet to be announced.

Billy Bob Thornton and Kim Basinger Set for The Informers

Lending their star status to highlight the project, Billy Bob Thornton and Kim Basinger have both landed deals to take part in an ensemble drama coming from Senator Entertainment titled "The Informers", Variety has reported.

Based on short stories by Bret Easton Ellis, project, set over the course of a week in 1983, features seven storylines that intersect, involving movie execs, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters. Other cast members include Brandon Routh, Ashley Olsen, Jon Foster, Austin Nichols, and Lou Taylor Pucci.
