New 'Babylon A.D.' Trailer Spoofing Summer Movies
August 29, 2008 11:08:52"Babylon A.D." is making its way to the big screen this coming Friday, August 29, but before moviegoers head up to the theaters to check it out, a so-called official trailer to the Mathieu Kassovitz-directed/co-scripted action sci-fi has come out. Uniquely made, the video lampooned most of highlighted movies this summer from "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" to "Sex and the City" and "The Dark Knight".
Starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh, Melanie Thierry and Gerard Depardieu, "Babylon" tells the story of Toorop, a mercenary with a simple code "kill or be killed". Living in the time when world has turned into a war zone, he is hired to escort a young woman holding a big secret and her guardian from Eastern Europe to New York. When he gradually finds out that the woman is carrying the only hope for the future of mankind and everyone else wants to be the first to get it, he is forced to choose between putting his life on the line or doing his job.

'Indiana Jones 5' Won't Resolve Around Mutt
August 06, 2008 12:08:01Before "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" stormed the theaters on May 22, the creator of the iconic archeology professor, George Lucas, seemed to be confident with the idea of centering the next "Indiana Jones" movie on Mutt Williams' character. However, months following the film's release, he offers a conflicting concept for "Indiana Jones 5".
Contrary to his previous words, the man behind the famous "Star Wars" saga now stated that the next "Indiana Jones" will still see the whip-cracking adventurer as the lead character. To MTV News at the press day for "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", the 64-year-old stressed, "Indiana Jones is Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones."

What George Lucas Has in Mind of 'Indiana Jones 5'
July 29, 2008 10:07:26Coming back to the big screen two decades after his last adventure with "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", the whip-cracking archaeologist proved that he still has his charm by collecting $313.6 million domestically and $743.7 million worldwide. With that success, many speculations arise on the possibility of the fifth film and Jones' creator, George Lucas, apparently has a thing or two on the future "Indiana Jones" project to be discussed.
Talking about the forthcoming "Star Wars" animation movie "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" to Times Online, the 64-year-old made time to share his insight on "Indiana Jones 5". Noting that everybody involved in "Crystal Skull" expecting the result the movie earned, he confessed that it is much more difficult right now to get even the story with everybody has a say for it, especially because he and director Steven Spielberg have their own idea of the plot's direction.

Unable to Break Record, 'Indiana Jones 4' Still King of the Box Office
May 26, 2008 09:05:24Nineteen years after he dominates the 1989's weekend box office with his adventure to find the Holy Grail in "The Last Crusade", Indiana Jones comes back digging more gold at the revenue tracker chart with the release of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' Panned and Hailed
May 21, 2008 02:05:44Twenty seven years ago, the whip-cracking Indiana Jones mesmerized people all over the world when he began his adventurous journey in search of the lost arc. The archaeological professor then followed up the success of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" with two other chivalrous ventures in "Temple of Doom" and with "The Last Crusade". Now, nineteen years after his last thrilling adventure, the daring professor is indeed going back to crack his signature whip in the big screen with "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and he is aiming to score bigger than ever at the box office. Still, though the fourth Indy film is highly anticipated, it doesn't actually get early receptions it hoped for, especially with the mixed feeling given by the movie critics.
Bringing its action star, Harrison Ford, back to reprise his most famous role ever after his golden years have passed, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" at first offered much doubt whether or not Ford could do justice to his character. Still, some critics believe that the filmmakers are clever enough to set this film in 1957 which is about 20 years apart from the first three movies and most importantly remains true with Jones' memorable character to please the fans. Todd McCarthy of Variety commented that in the latest film, Jones "comes through just as viewers remember him: crafty, capable, impatient, manly, and red-blooded American". Rafer Guzman of Newsday added, "Its success rides almost entirely on Ford, who brightens the action - always improbable, occasionally ludicrous - with physical humor and rascally charm. He wears the role so naturally that his supporting actors often seem to be faking it." Aside from panning the doubt over Ford's performance, others who support the positive reviews also applauded the spectacular special effect and stunt works on the action adventure tidbit.

'Indy 5' to Pick Up Mutt Williams' Spin Off
May 17, 2008 01:05:29The whip-cracking archaeological professor Indiana Jones has become one of the legendary feature film characters since he first took center stage with "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" and his highly expected new adventure in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is coming out in less than a week. The left over question now is whether or not another sequel will come following after. According to the franchise creator George Lucas, the possibility of a fifth film has been left open, but this time Jones won't be the main attraction.
Hinting about the possible fifth "Indiana Jones" movie at the Cannes Film Festival, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker stated that he may put Jones aside as the sidekick instead of the main character. Adding to the much surprise given, he revealed that he has idea on making Mutt Williams, the character played by Shia LaBeouf in "Crystal Skull", as the center of the story. "I haven't even told Steven [Spielberg] or Harrison [Ford] this," Lucas confessed to Fox News. "But I have an idea to make Shia the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out."
