In this fresh and hilarious reimagining of the classic television premise, Cedric the Entertainer and Mike Epps star as Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton, two best friends and Brooklyn bus drivers with big dreams and perpetually empty wallets. Ralph, ever the schemer, is convinced he’s one get-rich-quick idea away from giving his devoted wife, Alice (Regina Hall), the life she deserves, while Ed happily coasts through life alongside his more grounded wife, Trixie (Gabrielle Union). Their latest plan involves purchasing a dilapidated duplex to flip for a massive profit, a venture that promises to finally lift them out of their cramped apartment and financial struggles. However, their lack of skill, compounded by a series of spectacularly bad decisions and mounting debts, threatens not only their investment but the very foundation of their friendships and marriages. Directed by John Schultz, this spirited comedy captures the chaotic charm and heartfelt camaraderie of the original while delivering a modern, laugh-out-loud story about loyalty, ambition, and the wild ride that ensues when best friends become business partners.
