Movie Story
A landmine explosion during Howard's brief tour of duty in Vietnam has rendered him mute and illiterate. Now back home, his childhood sweetheart, who is about to enter a rehabilitation program, asks him to care for her child, whom she had with another man. The bond Howard shares with the boy helps him rethink his new life.
