Synopsis

Sometimes change comes on four legs. Oscar nominee Jeff Bridges stars in a true story of two souls transformed through one unlikely alliance: "A Dog Year". Based on the real-life 2003 memoir by best-selling author Jon Katz, this film tells the story of a 50-something writer in a mid-existential crisis who impulsively agrees to adopt a well-bred but high-strung border collie. As the dog wreaks havoc on his suburban household, Jon's angst-ridden attempts to rein him in meet with little success. But a move to a rural farmhouse, combined with behavioral lessons from a real-life dog whisperer and her herd of sheep, slowly yields dividends for the dog and, most importantly, for Jon.
