Definitely, Maybe Opens 23rd Santa Barbara International Film Festival
January 09, 2008 02:01:00Adam Brooks directed-film "Definitely, Maybe" will open the 23rd Santa Barbara International Film Festival as the film festival announced its lineup and program. According to Monstersandcritics.com, the comedy romantic film starring Ryan Reynolds, Isla Fisher and Abigail Breslin will make its world premiere in the festival that runs from January 24 to February 3.
It was reported that Brooks, Reynolds and Breslin will attend the opening night screening which then followed by a party at Paseo Nuevo in downtown Santa Barbara. Aside from the particular Universal Pictures' film, SBIFF 2008 will also feature 215 movies, including 20 world premieres, 22 U.S. premieres and a varied selection of films representing 49 countries.

The child actress is set to star in Universal Pictures' rom com flick "Definitely, Maybe", joining other bright talents like Ryan Reynolds, Derek Luke, and Isla Fisher also Rachel Weisz and Elizabeth Banks who both have finally given their nods for the project.
Following Breslin's inclusion, Universal has officially announced that production of the film starts this week in New York City with Adam Brooks at helm. Also writes the screenplay, Brooks will be backed up by behind-the-scene team which include cinematographer Florian Ballhaus, production designer Stephanie Carroll, and costume designer Gary Jones.

Rachel Weisz to Give a Nod for "Maybe"
August 15, 2006 04:08:12Rachel Weisz is about to mark her return to comedy. The actress is currently involved in negotiations to have a starring role in "Definitely, Maybe", an Adam Brooks' directorial also writing work for Working Title and Universal Pictures, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
If a deal is reached, she then will play a woman who dates Ryan Reynolds' character, a man dumped by his college sweetheart. Apart from Reynolds, other fixed cast members include glowing stars like Derek Luke and Isla Fisher.

Finally, a good movie to see AT the movies. It was smart and funny and realistic. But where's the Soundtrack??? Does anybody know??
