Vanessa Hudgens' 'Beastly' Welcomes Teaser Trailer

A sneak peek at "Beastly" has been made available for viewing pleasure through the first teaser trailer. Making its way out via MySpace, the relatively short video gives a glimpse at Kyle Kingson who transforms into his beastly form.

Kyle is a handsome rich kid with a mean streak, who is cursed into a grotesque monster after ditching a date. Enraged by his horrible and unrecognizable appearance, he later learns that the only solution to the curse is to find someone that will love him, a task which he considers impossible. Repulsed by his appearance, Kyle's father sends him to Brooklyn, where he lives with a sympathetic housekeeper and blind tutor.

New stills from Daniel Barnz's "Beastly" have been revealed. These four fresh images released by CBS Films give first looks at female leading character Vanessa Hudgens' Linda Taylor as well as another take at Alex Pettyfer's Kyle Kingson. Unlike previous images which also gave out the beastly form of Kingson, the new pictures only present the leading character in his human appearance.

From all of the new images, only one picture captures the two main characters, Taylor and Kingson, together as they chat close by what seems to be a bar. Another photo features Taylor wearing a flowery scarf. Meanwhile, Kingson is displayed in the other two new images, one of which exposes him baring his chest.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Alex Pettyfer to Join Vanessa Hudgens in 'Beastly'

Mary-Kate Olsen and Alex Pettyfer have been signed up to play in movie "Beastly". The two young actors will join a previously-announced cast Vanessa Hudgens for the modern-day take on "Beauty and the Beast".

Olsen will portray a transfer student and witch named Kendra Hilferty who curses Pettyfer's character, an arrogant man named Kyle Kingsbury who has no mercy for anyone poorer, less handsome or less popular than he is. As for Hudgens, she will play Linda Owens, the fair maiden who releases Kyle from Kendra's spell.

Vanessa Hudgens is indeed moving on from the "High School Musical" franchise as she tackles on a new feature project, "Beastly". ET reported that the 20-year-old starlet is teaming up with CBS Films for the modern-day take on "Beauty and the Beast" by filling the shoes of the fair maiden in the movie.

For this project, the "Thirteen" actress will be under the direction of Daniel Barnz. She is also likely to be joined by "Wild Child" actor Alex Pettyfer, whom E! Online reported to be in talks for the male lead. Hudgens is expected to fall within the production when the film starts to shoot in summer.

CANNOT WAIT!! I don't think Vanessa is great or anything..but I think she's stunning and she looks amazing with Alex. I'm gonna give her a chance..cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think it's gonna be better than twilight...uggh..hate twilight
