'Be Kind Rewind' Stole Idea From Amanda Bynes' Nickelodeon Show?

Jack Black's upcoming comedy film "Be Kind Rewind" has been accused to steal idea from a television show. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton reported that there is a YouTube video that proves the film has copied the story from an episode of Nickelodeon's "The Amanda Show" starring Amanda Bynes and Drake Bell.

Starting with the appearing of white words on the black screen stating that "Rewind" is "a great idea for a film", the video that last for a bit more than 2 minutes gives out evidence of the plagiarism done by the film. The video include a clip of the live-action comedy claimed to be air 8 years ago in which showcases a story about complaining video-rental customers who find out that the videos they had aren't what they rented. Coming up with a unique idea in promoting his latest directorial effort "Be Kind Rewind", Michel Gondry will open a "Sweeding movie studio" at New York City's art gallery Deitch Projects and run it from January 24 to March 1, 2008 , the filmmaker has revealed to the LA Times.

"Groups of people walk in and will have access to a workshop," he told the paper. "There is a very simple protocol: You shoot in camera, edit while you shoot - which means you stop the camera when you want to go to the next scene, you don't edit. Story lines last five to 10 minutes. And most of the exhibition will be a mini back lot with 15 little sets. In two hours, you can walk in, create a story, shoot a movie, watch it in the screening movie. Then you leave and take a copy."

The official site for Michel Gondry-directed "Be Kind Rewind" is up now and it delightfully is presented in a unique and unusual style, a touch you would expect from a filmmaker like Gondry.

On the site, the cursor funnily is shown attached to a bit of string with most of the interweb appears to be made of wood and paper. More interestingly, in "Swede Yourself" section you can drop yourself into covers for other movies of some genres, such as "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "The Wedding Singer", "The Long Kiss Goodnight", and many more.

First it was Jack Black who was appointed to take part in the comedy "Be Kind Rewind". As for now on there are at least four more actors added to the cast, they are Mos Def, Melonie Diaz, Mia Farrow and Danny Glover.

The next character that Jack Black about to display is a kind of eccentric. The actor reportedly has signed on to star in the upcoming drama comedy "Be Kind Rewind".

funny concept, but didn't work right. i wish they had chosen better movies to remake, ones that would've been funnier to see.
