Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The
In a dystopian future, the stakes are higher than ever in "Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Following her harrowing victor...
In this sharp and witty comedy, a chaotic chain of events unfolds when two estranged sisters, the meticulous August (Rejena Taylor) and the free-spirited Ebony (Ayesha Harris), are forced to reunite under one roof after their mother’s unexpected departure. Directed by Sunyin Zhang, the film thrusts these polar opposites into a high-stakes scramble to keep their family’s struggling diner afloat. August, a control freak with a clipboard, clashes immediately with Ebony, a spontaneous artist who sees rules as suggestions. Their already fragile relationship is further tested by the arrival of a charming but meddling local contractor (John Clarence Stewart), whose own agenda threatens to upend their fragile truce. As the sisters bicker over everything from menu pricing to décor, they must navigate a series of hilarious mishaps, from a runaway food truck to a disastrous health inspection. Beneath the laughter, August & Ebony explores the messy, heartfelt process of forgiveness and the surprising ways two very different people can learn to see the best in each other.
