A remake of the 1957 classic, the Lionsgate Films release amazingly surpassed studio's expectation by taking in quite an impressive number of $14.1 million on a historically slow weekend to replace the fright fest "" as the No.1 movie on the box office.

Bringing good news to those who wait in anticipation for "", Lionsgate Films has revealed that it will push up the Western flick from the original release date of September 7, 2007 to the beginning of the week as a sneak peak.

While this means that the movie can be seen starting on Sunday, September 2, the studio, however, does not give details on how many theaters slated to play the flick, but moviegoers should expect it to come to a number of cities in the States during the day.

The "" train gets more crowded this time as it has added five stars namely , Peter Fonda, Dallas Roberts, , and Vinessa Shaw aboard. All of them then are joining Oscar-winning actor who has already been billed to topline the project as an outlaw leader named Ben Wade.

A Lionsgate production, the picture is a remake of Glen Ford's 1957 vehicle of the same title which concerns about local rancher Dan Evans who engages in a battle of wills and guns with Wade's accomplice while waiting for the 3:10 train to Yuma to bring the desperado into the court.

Things apparently keep heading toward better direction for "", a remake of the 1957 feature starring Glenn Ford in the lead role. Following the willingness of Relativity Media to handle the film's financial matters, Lionsgate has delightfully come in to take the distribution rights to the movie, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

Originally placed under Sony Columbia banner, the picture has been developed for four years with plan to start production this past summer, but all got scrapped when the company decided to make its departure from the project.

The director of the critical and commercial hit "", James Mangold is heading up to start shooting "". The schedule is set to begin in October, with in the leading role.

"Yuma" was eventually produced this summer for Sony Pictures. It was also prepared to start shooting until Sony put the project on a hold. Mangold is now striving with Cathy Konrad, as the producers, to collaborate with other studios.
