Hosted by Katy Perry, the star-studded show also lined up Duffy who entertained audience with her runaway smash "Mercy" and The Ting Tings who played "That's Not My Name" from their debut album "We Started Nothing".

August 16, 2008 10:08:11Apparently Britney Spears' pop career did not die with her disastrous performance at MTV Video Music Awards last year. The awards event, instead, gives her another nomination, the third one for this year's competition. The pop singer has just earned the chance to win the coveted Video of the Year after voted by fans from twenty plus videos to enter the top 5.
For the new nomination, Britney owes it to the music video of her second "Blackout" single, "Piece of Me" that also delivers her another two nods for Best Pop Video and Best Female Video. Four other contenders for the Video of the Year category are filled by The Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up", The Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go", Jonas Brothers' "Burnin' Up" and Chris Brown's "Forever".
The Ting Tings to Make New Music With Dizzee Rascal
July 22, 2008 10:07:29A new and interesting stuff is about to be done by Indie pop band The Ting Tings who planned to do a collaboration with English rapper Dizzee Rascal. The news was confirmed by the band's vocalist Katie White, revealing that they will be working on a new track together.
Speaking to the press, Katie said that the collaboration idea came up after her band and Dizzee met at Glastonbury Festival. The female singer stated that the rapper was the one who offered them to record something together saying, "We saw Dizzee Rascal at Glastonbury and he told us that he was planning to do a cover of our song for Radio 1's Live Lounge. He was like 'You know, we should work together'."
