The Fratellis are a Scottish rock band hailing from Glasgow, formed in 2005. Known for their energetic sound and catchy melodies, the band consists of three members who perform under pseudonyms: lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli. They quickly garnered attention with their debut album, "Costello Music," released in 2006, which peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and spent an impressive eighty-three weeks in the UK Top 100. The album also made its mark in the United States, reaching number forty-eight on the US Billboard 200.

The Fratellis' rise to fame was solidified by the success of "Costello Music," which produced five notable singles, including "Henrietta," "Chelsea Dagger," "Whistle for the Choir," "Baby Fratelli," and "Ole Black 'n' Blue Eyes." Among these, "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle for the Choir" both became top ten hits in the UK charts, showcasing the band's ability to craft infectious rock anthems. Their efforts were recognized when they won the BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 2007, further establishing their reputation in the music industry. As of March 2018, "Costello Music" had sold over 1.1 million copies in the UK alone, highlighting its enduring popularity.

Following the success of their debut, The Fratellis released their second album, "Here We Stand," in 2008. Although the album continued to showcase their distinctive sound, it did not achieve the same level of commercial success as "Costello Music," leading the band to enter a hiatus period shortly after its release. The Fratellis returned to the music scene in 2013 with their third album, "We Need Medicine." While it debuted at number twenty-six on the UK Albums Chart, the album's performance was seen as disappointing, as it fell out of the UK Top 100 after just one week and peaked at number 106 on the US Billboard 200.

Despite the challenges faced with "We Need Medicine," The Fratellis experienced a resurgence in their chart performances with subsequent releases. Their albums "Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied" (2015), "In Your Own Sweet Time" (2018), and "Half Drunk Under a Full Moon" (2021) all debuted within the top five in their native Scotland, indicating a solid fanbase and a return to form. As of now, The Fratellis continue to create and perform music, maintaining their status as a beloved rock band in the UK and beyond, while still captivating audiences with their lively performances and memorable tunes.
