September 04, 2009 09:09:11Actor Taye Diggs and his actress wife Idina Menzel have become parents for the very first time when she gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday, September 2. The infant is named Walker Nathaniel Diggs and representatives for the celebrity pair have confirmed, "Mother, father and son are all doing well."
Having been married since January 2003, Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel had their representative confirming the screen beauty's first pregnancy back in late March this year. Diggs was previously quoted as stating that he and Menzel were waiting to make a final decision on a name for their baby. "We have a couple [names] in the running," he revealed. "But part of us wants to see what he hits us with when we see him. We'll see what he looks like."

July 21, 2009 01:07:48Producer and creator Shonda Rhimes has updated her Twitter account with a new pic taken from the set of "Private Practice". The shooting for third season has begun and Shonda took a picture of Taye Diggs standing in front of his character's office.
"First day shooting at PP!!! Here's I know season's really begun: I'll spend my days running back and forth between the two shows/studios," Shonda tweeted on Monday, July 20. Few days earlier, shooting for "Grey's Anatomy" has also been kicked off and Shonda posted an on-set pic that captures Sara Ramirez in uniform.

Taye Diggs, 38, and Idina Menzel, 37, have been married since January 2003. The pair's first meeting was on the original 1996 Broadway production of "Rent" in New York City. They've been dating for seven years when they got married.

The biggest winner however, was "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" which scored Comedy Series, Actor, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress altogether.
Apart from nabbing the Outstanding Drama Series, "Grey's Anatomy" also took home Outstanding Actress in Drama Series through Chandra Wilson. Its spin-off "Private Practice" meanwhile, grabbed the Supporting Actor in Drama Series through Taye Diggs.

According to reports, the Vanity Vair's article about "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" has given out hints that Will Smith, Taye Diggs, Adam Arkin, Kevin Spacey and Philip Seymour Hoffman could be attached to the new project.
In the article posted on VanityFair.com, Jim Windolf, the writer, wrote down, "My glance strays to a side table, where headshots of actors under consideration for his likely next directing project, Chicago 7 - about the conspiracy trial that grew out of protests at the 1968 Democratic convention - lie on the surface. Among them I spy Will Smith, Taye Diggs, Adam Arkin, and Kevin Spacey; Sacha Baron Cohen (as Abbie Hoffman) and Philip Seymour Hoffman (as William Kunstler) are also linked to the project, which has a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin."
Taye Diggs Tapped to Star in ABC's Potential Spinoff of "Grey's Anatomy"

In the wake of the announcement made public by ABC on the plan to release a "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off with Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, the role played by Kate Walsh, as the lead character, Taye Diggs is a new addition to the cast.
It has been confirmed that Diggs has been tapped to star opposite Walsh in the ABC's new project. "Grey's" creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes is writing the episode and is expected to shepherd the potential series.

George Clooney is charming, but most of all he is sexy, and apparently the actor has been named People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2006. This is the second time that he gets the predicate after he was given the honor a year ago for the same title.
"Brad's going to be upset," the 45-year-old Oscar winner told People in its special issue. Also two-time winner, Brad Pitt sadly only makes it at number 15. Listed on People magazine's annual survey including actor Patrick Dempsey who comes in second spot, and Ashton Kutcher in third. Taye Diggs, to follow, secures the 4th position ahead of Johnny Depp at number five.
