Thomson and Thompson Casting Rumor for 'Tintin' Confirmed
January 06, 2009 02:01:19The circulating rumor about Simon Pegg and Nick Frost being cast as Thomson and Thompson in "Tintin" may end up to be true after all. Ain't It Cool News (AICN) recently let out confirmation that both Pegg and Frost are coming in to play the pair of clumsy detectives who are almost completely alike.
If this story is proven to be true as words from both Paramount and Sony of this latest casting reports have yet to be thrown out, the two English actors could be joining Andy Serkis, who is set to play Tintin's best friend, Captain Haddock, in the live-action project. Before this comic book adaptation, Pegg and Frost have worked together in British sitcom "Spaced".
Bits of 'Star Trek' Exposed by Spock and Scotty
August 27, 2008 04:08:07Most of "Star Trek" plot details have been well-kept so far, but with the movie in its post-production phase, hints about the story are being dropped little by little by its cast members, two in particular are Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg. In different occasion, they talked about what they know of the upcoming film.
First is Quinto who revealed further information on his famous character, Spock. In a recent interview with CreationTV, the "Heroes" villain can be heard saying, "This story happens sort of irrespective of where the Spock we've come to know ends up." Highlighting the "irrespective" word he stressed on, some publication speculated that perhaps his Spock won't be the same as Leonard Nimoy's. The interview can be enjoyed below.

While Korean-born actor Cho has been cast as Sulu in the Sci-Fi flick, Pegg has been signed to play the role of Scotty, the ship's Scottish chief engineer.

Another acting stint is coming for Simon Pegg. While his status in "Run, Fat Boy, Run" is still unclear, the actor has signed a deal to star in "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People", a movie adaptation of Toby Young's best-selling book of the same title.
Produced by Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen of Number 9 Film, pic is set to begin the production by next spring in New York and U.K. Robert Weide is at helm with Peter Straughan to adapt the script.

Simon Pegg is in the brink to add one more comedy feature to his resume. The actor is now in talks to play a role in rom-com flick of "Run, Fat Boy, Run", The Hollywood Reporter has reported.
Gaining wide attention for his performance in "Shaun of the Dead", Pegg is last seen starring alongside star-studded cast in "Mission: Impossible 3" while sets to appear next in "Hot Fuzz", also a comedic picture developed by the "Shaun" team.

"Big Nothing" is being produced by Andras Hamori and Gabriella Stollenwerck under production banner H2O Motion Pictures. Other details on the movie soon follow.

Anyway, what we're going to talk about is a different good night. It's a romance comedy film, which Jake Paltrow is written and about to direct.
The story of "The Good Night" concerns a man's search for perfection in a world where life rarely measures up to the idealized images that constantly bombard us. The film is set in New York, but will begin filming on November 7 in London's Ealing Studios. Set to star in is Gwyneth Paltrow and Simon Pegg, who both will play supporting roles, and Martin Freeman who'll play a former pop star now reduced to writing advertising jingles amid an early midlife crisis.
