New 'Clash of the Titans' Photo Sees Mad Perseus
October 01, 2009 10:10:45Not much of "Clash of the Titans" has been shared aside from several photos and behind-the-scenes footage, but Empire Magazine has brought forth another taste of Sam Worthington's portrayal of Perseus. The newest issue of the magazine, which is already on sale, features a mad-looking son of Zeus on the cover as well as in the article inside.
Prior to the outing of the cover shot, MTV has aired first look at the action fantasy on September 4 during "Behind the Screen" special. The exclusive footage presented sneak peek in two forms; a set visit and B-roll. Both of the videos show never-before-seen footage from the film's shooting location.
Closer Look at Na'vi in New 'Avatar' Photos
August 27, 2009 09:08:48A series of new Na'vi images from "Avatar" has been found. Scanned from the newest issue of Empire magazine by MarketSaw, some of the fresh photos capture a closer look at the avatar of Sam Worthington's Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana's Na'vi character Neytiri. One of the pictures gives out the first look at the avatar of Sigourney Weaver's Dr. Grace Augustine.
Beside those Na'vi photos, there are two other pictures. One displays Stephen Lang as Marine Corps Colonel Quaritch and shows his nasty scars, the other one sees director James Cameron giving instruction to some of the cast ensemble including Worthington. More of the look inside "Avatar" can be obtained from the October issue of Empire, which will be on sale in the U.S. August 27.
New 'Avatar' Images Coming Out
August 20, 2009 01:08:33Hours prior to the trailer premiere of "Avatar", 20th Century Fox has released a series of new photos from the sci-fi movie. In addition to ones featuring Sam Worthington's Jake Sully, some of the new images also provide first look at never-before-seen characters and another pic sees what seems to be the war birds.
The characters unveiled in the photos are Sigourney Weaver's botanist Dr. Grace Augustine, Michelle Rodriguez's retired Marine pilot Trudy Chacon, Giovanni Ribisi's Parker Selfridge and Stephen Lang's Marine Corps colonel Quaritch. Aside from these pictures, a capture of director James Cameron in discussion with Weaver is also included.
Sam Worthington Set to Star in 'The Tourist'
August 04, 2009 04:08:27Sam Worthington is set to star in "The Tourist", the remake of 2005's "Anthony Zimmer". Variety reported that the Aussie actor replaced Tom Cruise who had been flirting with the project since 2008. He came into the loop after Cruise finally landed onto the untitled James Mangold project.
In the Bharat Nalluri-directed movie, 33-year-old Worthington will play an American tourist, joining Charlize Theron who has been touted earlier to star in the thriller film. The star of "Terminator Salvation" is expected join the production which is slated to be kicked off in January 2010 after previously being postponed.

June 02, 2009 01:06:34The first real photo of "Clash of the Titans" has been discovered. The newly-found picture exposes Sam Worthington as Perseus in the remake to the 1981 Greek mythology film. Displaying the actor in a battle mode with a sword and shield on his hands, the grainy image is said to be scanned from the latest issue of Empire magazine.
Perseus is the main character in this modern version of "Clash of the Titans". Helpless to save his family from Hades, he volunteers to lead a mission to defeat the vengeful god of the underworld before Hades can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Now, in command of a band of warriors, he embarks on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds and battles unholy demons and fearsome beasts.
McG Reveals 'Terminator Salvation' Sequels at Hollywood Premiere
May 15, 2009 03:05:04One week shy of its theatrical release in U.S., "Terminator Salvation" held a special screening at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, C.A. Spotted among the crowd were the leading cast such as Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Anton Yelchin as well as Bryce Dallas Howard.
Bale, in particular, was accompanied by his wife Sibi Blazic. Director McG was also in attendance, revealing to the press during the carpet interview that the sequels are in the works. "They have arced out the stories for a second and third picture. So if the public is interested in what happens with John Connor, what happens with Skynet, what happens with the fate of Marcus Wright, we'll see about the next picture," he said.
Sam Worthington Addresses 'Green Lantern' Rumor

Saying an honest fact on the possibility of him playing the superhero character, the Marcus Wright of "Terminator Salvation" confessed, "I don't know about that. I couldn't really see myself in green spandex, mate."
Worthington furthermore insisted that he is waiting to read a script, before he can say anything about it. "There's stories out there, and I like stories about people who get knocked down and they have to build themselves back up," he explained on what could possibly make him interested in the project. "That heroic tale really appeals to me."

The Herald Sun was the first to break the news, suggesting that Worthington could be filling the shoes of his "Terminator Salvation" co-star, Christian Bale, in "Batman 3".
"Industry gossip now suggests the rising Australian star could score the part of Batman in the third installment of the successful prequel franchise," so read the report. "That could mean replacing Bale, his Terminator co-star and The Dark Knight lead, whose profile was damaged after his infamous "me, me, me" meltdown on the Terminator set, which recently hit the internet."

Generally a behind-the-scene photo from the forthcoming sci-fi thriller, it exposes director James Cameron giving a direction to star Sam Worthington by pointing at something behind the camera. Displaying the set, the picture reveals that Worthington wears a backpack of some sorts and something on both of his wrists.
Developed using a mix of CGI and live action, "Avatar" was shot with a special 3-D camera developed by James Cameron. Directed, co-produced and written also by Cameron, it sees Sam Worthington starring as the pivotal character, a paraplegic ex-marine war veteran, while Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez are among the cast ensemble.

Rogue Start Filming

Joining them were John Jarratt, Sam Worthington, and Stephen Curry. In "Rogue" Vartan stars as an American travel writer whose tour group is stalked by a rogue crocodile in the Aussie outback.
