Pregnant Padma Lakshmi Goes Nude for Magazine Photo Shoot
December 02, 2009 10:12:00Putting on some pregnancy weight, Padma Lakshmi isn't shy to bare her flesh for a photo spread to be featured in the latest issue of Page Six Magazine. Featured on the publication's cover, the "Top Chef" presenter is snapped sitting on what looks like a sofa. She bends both of her knees to cover the front part of her body while offering sharp look to the lens through her right shoulder.
In a photo featured inside the magazine, Padma is seen impersonating Miley Cyrus' notorious pose for Vanity Fair. The particular shot is available for peek on Celebrity Mania. In addition to the photos, Padma also sits down for an accompanying interview, during when she confesses, "I like me better naked."
First Look: Padma Lakshmi on '30 Rock'
October 30, 2009 04:10:37"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi will share the screen with Alec Baldwin next month in a "30 Rock" episode. The first looks of her appearing as herself have been shared by NBC, giving a preview that she will discuss culinary with Jack in his office.
The episode is called "The Problem Solvers" and it will air on November 12. According to the synopsis, the new actor starts work at "TGS," and after observing how low maintenance he is, Tracy and Jenna begin to rethink how they treat Kenneth. Meanwhile, Jack offers Liz her own talk show, but Jenna convinces her to explore all of her options first.
Padma Lakshmi Expecting Her First Child, Rep Confirms

Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, the representative says, "Model, author, and Emmy-nominated Padma Lakshmi confirms that she is carrying her first child after years of struggling with endometriosis, a cause for which she has co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America."
Endometriosis, as described by the site, is a medical condition in which the uterus' lining grows in other areas of the body, causing pain, irregular bleeding and possible infertility. Providing further detail about Lakshmi's latest condition, the representative states, "As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi's privacy at this time."

Padma Lakshmi was married to novelist Salman Rushdie in April 2004. The couple filed for divorce in July 2007. She then began dating Manu Nathan, who works in Business & Legal Affairs at IMG talent agency.

Those top entertainers put their names on the "Global Petition Calling for Real Action on AIDS and Education" document, demands leaders of the G8 industrialized countries to stick to agreements to improve support for health and education made at the 2005 summit, which have yet to be fulfilled.
