Ne-Yo Refuses to Diss Chris Brown When Writing Song for Rihanna

Rihanna May Not Work With Ne-Yo for Upcoming Album

Furthermore admitting that he has seen the picture of Rihanna's bruised face post Chris' attack, which was made public by TMZ last week, Ne-Yo commented, "That just really - that hurt me to my heart, man." Though so, Ne-Yo insisted he wanted to talk to both Rihanna and Chris first before offering further comment on the issue.

Ne-Yo Richer After Dropped From R. Kelly's Tour

In January this year, Ne-Yo was suing mad after he was suddenly cut off as the supporting act of Kelly's November tour while in fact he already emptied his agenda especially for the commitment. Ne-Yo claimed that he was dropped because he was thought overshadowing the performance of the main act, namely R. Kelly. Pleaded Guilty to Reckless Driving, Ne-Yo Sentenced to 24 Hours of Community Service

Ne-Yo's 'Year of the Gentleman' Release Date Pushed Back

The R 'n' B singer's upcoming set "Year of the Gentleman" that previously being set to out on June 23, has now got August 5 as a new release date.

The singer has in the week ended Sunday had his new set "3121" sold for 183,000 copies, such amount enough to bring him on top of the chart.
Meanwhile, last week's chart-topper, Disney's "High School Musical" soundtrack slips one to No.2, ahead of James Blunt's "Back to Bedlam" at No. 3 and Barry Manilow's "The Greatest Songs of the Fifties" at No. 4. Ne-Yo's "In My Own Words" sadly drops one place from last week position to No. 5, followed after by B.G. whose "The Heart of tha Streetz, Vol. 2: I Am What I Am" selling 62,000 copies to secure the 6th position on the chart.

While the US pop album chart surprisingly is topped by a new winner, the Billboard Hot 100 also does so. The singles chart is reigned by reggae star Sean Paul whose album "Temperature" goes up one place to the top spot, ended Ne-Yo's two-week reign on the chart as his "So Sick" falls to No. 3. Meanwhile, Canadian singer/songwriter Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" successfully lands on the 2nd place after rising three places from last week's position.
James Blunt's former chart-topper "You're Beautiful" and Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You" each slips one to No. 4 and No. 5 in a row. Elsewhere, English pop singer Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" rises one to No. 6, ahead of Dem Franchize Boyz' "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" at No. 7 and T-Pain's "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" at No. 8. Rounding out the Top 10 is Chris Brown's "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" which rises one to No. 9 and Beyonce Knowles' "Check On It" which falls two to No. 10.

Time goes by and the U.S. pop album chart also sees some changes in its Top 10 position. Make a surprise jump to the top of the chart is the soundtrack to the Disney cable TV movie "High School Musical", selling over 142,000 copies for the week ended Sunday. Thus, this is the second time since its release 10 weeks ago that the set seizes the No. 1 spot on the chart.
In the meantime, the week's 2nd position belongs to British singer/songwriter James Blunt whose album "Back to Bedlam" sold 126,000 copies in its 24th week. Bay Area rapper E-40 gloriously earns his first top 10 on the Billboard 200 in a decade as "My Ghetto Report Card" secures the 3rd rank with 94,000 copies. R&B singer Ne-Yo's former chart-topper "In My Own Words" climbs one place to No. 4 with 77,000 copies. Elsewhere, last week's champ, Juvenile's "Reality Check," slips to No. 5 with 75,000 copies in its second round.

R&B singer Ne-Yo apparently has yet satisfied with the achievement he's gained in music industry. Already ruled the US singles chart for the past two weeks, the star is now giving hand at acting and is about to make his feature debut in "Stompin'," an urban dance film that begins shooting this month in Atlanta.
Of drama musical genre, "Stompin'" follows a troubled 19-year-old from the gang-infested streets of L.A. who is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in a black university in Atlanta. There he is courted by the top two campus fraternities, both of which want and need his fierce street-style dance moves to win the highly coveted national step-show competition.

The US pop album charts Wednesday March 8th, 2006 was dominated by R&B singer Ne-Yo's debut solo release "In My Own Words" which opened at No. 1, selling 301,000 copies in the week ended March 5. Meanwhile, the soundtrack to the Disney Channel movie "High School Musical" by various artists slipped to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 128,000 copies, after one week at the top.
Sat at No. 3 was rock quintet Hawthorne Heights's "If Only You Were Lonely" which sold another 114,000 copies. Alan Jackson's "Precious Memories" was back on the Billboard 200 debuted at No. 4 with 107,000 copies, ahead of R&B singer Mary J.
