October 05, 2009 11:10:15Mika comes out wearing a bowler hat and holding a cane in the music video for his single "Blame It on the Girls". He is then joined by female dancers who wear half black tuxedo and half orange mini dress.
The video reportedly is directed by Meiert Avis and was premiered Saturday, October 3 in U.K. on Channel 4. "Blame It on the Girls" is taken from Mika's sophomore set "The Boy Who Knew That Much" which has arrived in stores since September.
Mika Announces a One-Off Live Concert in Sydney

He is slated to take the stage at Sydney's Enmore Theatre on Tuesday, November 24. Tickets for the show go on sale starting on Monday, September 28 through Ticketek, Take 40 has reported.

The song is described as a "big sounding and aggressive, but in a good way. It's got a gospel choir on it and a kids' choir, but unlike the first record they're not singing sweetly, they're screaming at the top of their lungs."

Titled "Songs for Sorrow [EP]", the album has revealed two of its tracks, "Lady Jane" and "Lonely Alcoholic".
Both "Jane" and "Alcoholic" are ballads that are led with piano. And true to the EP's theme, the lyrics suggest the "misfortunes" of "stressed out single mother" in "Alcoholic" and tell the tragic story of a woman who seeks her lover down the sea by becoming fish and eventually got killed for a dish in "Lady Jane".
Mika Starts New Album's Works

The British singer has revealed to Billboard.com that he has started the work for his new LP saying, "I'm writing my second album."
The singer also confirms that he has already had some songs that will be put on the new LP and he will build the new set from those songs. "It's all about building those songs after the process of the first album, and they're coming along, which is comforting." Two new songs that reportedly will be included for the forthcoming record are "How Much Do You Love Me" and "Holy Johnny."
Mika Launching Countersuit Against Another Mika

The "Lollipop" singer and his record label, Universal Music are suing the lesser known Mika who claimed that she registered the stage name in 1980s.
The famous Mika is seeking a 20,000 pound sterling damage in compensation of her filing a "provocative and reckless lawsuit". No further details have been unveiled other than the whispers that the Belgian Mika who lost in the first battle, has announced that she plans to file a counterclaim at a civil court in Brussels.

The Midway State Jump on a Tour With Mika

In a chart war that has been dominated by Rihanna, Timbaland and Kate Nash in the top three positions, uber-producer Timbaland has claimed the first place. U.K. Singles chart this week has knocked down Rihanna's "Umbrella" from its ten week-reign to not only the runner up position but straight to the third.
Interestingly enough, the top three seems to have battled among themselves since most of those under them staying intact in their position. Breaking a pop barrier with his hit "Grace Kelly", it must have been a pretty disappointing news when Mika pulled off two gigs in Denmark. He was forced to cancel the concerts after suffering from ear infection.
Mika came all prepared for the July 7 event but he complained of a pain in his ear and was quickly rushed to London's Wellington House Hospital where he was diagnosed with ear infection. A spokesperson said, "He has been suffering from a viral ear infection which means he can't sing. He has had to cancel a couple of appearances in Denmark but he is on the mend."

The third cycle of Ibiza Rocks will feature Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and even Mika this summer. They will be joined by the likes such as The View, CSS, The Fratellis, LCD Soundsystem and The Enemy.
The event will start June 19 in the usual spot of Bar M, at Manumission club, Ibiza. The View will be the first to appear before Cansei de Ser Sexy aka CSS takes the baton on July 10.
