Kanye West and Adam Levine Teaming Up for Barack Obama's Campaign Soundtrack
September 24, 2008 01:09:02Rapper Kanye West will collaborate with Maroon 5's vocalist Adam Levine in a compilation album to benefit Democratic candidate Barack Obama. Entitled "Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement", the soundtrack album will be released in conjunction with Hidden Beach Recordings and sold to raise money for Barack's campaign until November 4.
Joining Kanye and Adam in single "Promised Land" is African-American spoken word poet, Malik Yusef. Meanwhile, other stars who will lend their voices to the theme songs collection include Stevie Wonder, who will sing "Signed Sealed Delivered" and John Legend who will perform "Pride in the Name of Love".

Renowned musicians are going to storm up the 2007 ALMA Awards stage and give a hell of performance. For a start, Beyonce Knowles will be there along with Prince.
In a two-hour special, the two of them are going fill in the performance slot which also boast the names such as Dashboard Confessional, Los Lonely Boys, War, Calle 13 and Billy Gibbons.

Cheyenne Frontier Days this year will not only serve free pancakes but also a groundbreaking mixture of rock and country music. Def Leppard and Grammy award winning Bon Jovi have been slated to perform as part of the 10 days Western celebration.
Bon Jovi will open the first night on July 20 while Def Leppard performs on July 28.
Los Lonely Boys Debuts at 2nd Spot on the Album Chart

The pop hits collection "Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 22" rules the album chart, again. This is the second straight week that the set reaches the peak position on the chart, selling 207,000 copies and thus becoming the only album to register six-figure sales in the week ended Sunday.
Meanwhile, the 2nd position on the chart is secured by Los Lonely Boys' "Sacred" taking in another 67,000 copies, and Rodney Atkins' "If You're Going Through Hell" is at 3rd with 55,000 copies. Gnarls Barkley's "St. Elsewhere" is at No. 4 with nearly 53,000 scans, followed by the soundtrack to the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical" at #5 with sales of 52,000.
