Following Beyonce's domination is her junior Taylor Swift. The country music singer grabs eight nominations, four of which have her going head-to-head against Beyonce. The two female performers are up against each other in Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Kid Cudi Tags Travis Barker for His Next Studio Project
October 30, 2009 03:10:29Already making a name through a mixtape and full-length studio album, Kid Cudi is now eying to enter studio for a compilation project. He tentatively calls the new effort "Cudder" and hopes to recruit some hottest music talents from rock genre.
" 'Cudder' is basically an album of me working with artists that have inspired me or artists that have helped me grow and people who I've always admired," Cudi told MTV. "So far, we've got Snoop [Dogg], Travis Barker."
Lady GaGa Announces 'The Monster Ball' Tour With Kid Cudi
October 15, 2009 02:10:48Following the cancellation of her joint roadshow with Kanye West earlier this month, Lady GaGa will embark on a solo tour starting from November 27. This time, she will take rapper Kid Cudi as her supporting act.
Aimed to support her November 24 release "The Fame: Monster", the tour will be kicked off at The Bell Center in Montreal, Canada three days after the album arrives in stores. Then, it will be wrapped on January 21, 2010 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The rapper, blooming from Kanye West's GOOD Music label, was often tagged to heavy-hitters such as Jermaine Dupri, Travis Barker, Jay-Z and Kanye himself. On September 15, his album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" was finally on the shelves, and it's already on the track to be a top 5 on Billboard 200.
According to industry prognosticators, Kid's number could circle around 120,000 copies in the first week on sale, an extraordinary number for a newcomer. His only competition would be established rockers Muse who are coming with their new album "The Resistance". The final number will be counted this week and revealed on Wednesday, September 23.
Kid Cudi, Solange Knowles, Shakira and More Added to MTV VMAs
September 12, 2009 10:09:43Days before 2009 MTV Video Music Awards is kicked off, more stars are added to its line-up, joining previous performers and attendees. Among those confirmed to come to the event are Kid Cudi, Solange Knowles, Pete Wentz and Shakira.
Solange and Kid are set to make collaboration with house band Wale and UCB. Meanwhile, Pete and Shakira are only scheduled to make appearance. Other big names set to attend the awards either to perform or just make appearance include Jack Black, Kristin Cavallari, Justin Bieber, Miranda Cosgrove as well as two members of The All-American Rejects, guitarist Nick Wheeler and frontman Tyson Ritter.
Kid Cudi Announces Third Single From Debut Album

The song will feature electronic music duo Ratatat and rock band MGMT. "This song will clarify wut i meant last year in my mixtape trailer when i said i wasnt playing anymore," Cudi continued tweeting.

In addition, another picture with a similar capture, only this time serving as a cover art for the album's deluxe edition, has also emerged. According to reports in the media, the making of those two pictures has caused the album to be pushed back from August 25 to September 15.

Out of the nine nominations Beyonce and Lady GaGa received, eight of them have the two female singers facing off against each other. While West is seen rapping near a swimming pool, and Common is simply captured sitting on a bed, Cudi is shown singing to the song in the middle of floating balloons.
"We put a little trick-a-roo on you," Cudi told MTV about the newly-outed video. "We wanted to go for a real abstract and iconic-looking video, something real artsy. It's really dope. It's like split screen, and how he shot it is with multiple, different shots. It's almost like there's still shots and there's movement going on in them. It's really trippy."
Jay-Z to Duet With Rihanna and Kid Cudi in 'Blueprint 3'

Asher Roth and Kid Cudi Collaborate for Hangover Tour

2009 BET Awards Nominations Revealed, Lil Wayne and T.I. Lead the Pack
