September 16, 2009 10:09:37Cover has been taken off, the second group of presenters in duty for 61st Primetime Emmy Awards reveal themselves. Kevin Bacon, who is nominated at the award show for his role in TV movie "Taking Chance", will be on hand to present together with his wife Kyra Sedgwick who is also a nominee for her role on "The Closer".
Also presenting together would be the leading stars to CBS drama series "NCIS: Los Angeles", LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell. Others taking similar task include Alec Baldwin, Kaley Cuoco, Cat Deeley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Johnny Galecki, Ricky Gervais, Jim Parsons, Amy Poehler, Anna Torv, Sigourney Weaver and Kate Walsh.
Kevin Bacon's BlackBerry Swiped in N.Y.C. Subway Station
May 25, 2009 10:05:18"Death Sentence" actor Kevin Bacon reportedly lost his BlackBerry phone in a New York City subway station. The BlackBerry, according to New York Post's Page Six, was swiped by a thief at the B, D and E station at 53rd Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan on Thursday, May 21 at around 10:50 A.M.
Sources told the media that Bacon tried to chase the alleged thief, but he lost him in the crowded station. Additionally, the sources claimed the 50-year-old star has called the police. However, N.Y.C. Transit officials admitted that there weren't any subway personnel being informed about the alleged crime. As for the press time, a spokesperson for NYPD couldn't confirm that Bacon had filed a report for the case.

Once again gathered together merrily, cast members of 20th Century Fox's "Death Sentence" greeted one another as they all landed their feet at Tribeca Cinema on Tuesday, August 28 for the New York City premiere of the thriller drama.
Spotted walking down the red carpet were leading stars Kevin Bacon and Kelly Preston, who got accompanied by beloved husband John Travolta. Director James Wan and screenwriter Ian Jeffers were also present, along with other cast members like Stuart Lafferty, Garrett Hedlund, Hector Atreyu Ruiz, and Aisha Tyler, who looked gorgeous in her mini black dress.
Kevin Bacon Tied to "Frost/Nixon"

Becoming a worthy addition to the project, "Mystic River" star Kevin Bacon has signed on to join the cast of "Frost/Nixon", the drama that Universal Pictures is setting up with Working Title Films.
Adapted from the hit play by Peter Morgan which is based on a series of televised interviews David Frost secured with former President Nixon in 1977, pic will find Bacon portraying Nixon's chief of staff Jack Brennan. Other cast members include Frank Langella, Michael Sheen, Sam Rockwell, Toby Jones, and Matthew Macfadyen, the former two reprising their stage roles as Nixon and Frost, respectively.
Kevin Bacon Is "Taking Chance"

Attempting to deliver another powerful performance, Kevin Bacon has signed on to topline an Iraq-war feature titled "Taking Chance", which reportedly will be launched as an HBO TV-movie in 2008.
Here Bacon will portray a military officer named Lt. Col. Michael Strobl who accompanies the body of fallen U.S. soldier Chance Phelps as it is returned home from Iraq for a burial in Wyoming. Pic will be based on Strobl's short story of the same name.
"Black Water Transit" Meets the Real Transit

It appears that Accent Pictures' new film project "Black Water Transit" has to really meet a transit. The screenplay is, again, another novel-based big screen project, going around the world of thieves and robbers, cops and lawyers as they meet on the crossroads over illegal cases, mafia connection and homicide.
One of the leading casts, Vin Diesel has been said to pull out from the movie project, leaving the movie on a hold, and in-need of recasting. This $30 million action-thriller was supposed to start production on July 30.
Bacon Joining the Cast of "The Air I Breathe"

While the existed cast, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ken Watanabe and Diego Luna, are preparing themselves to work on the project, Kevin Bacon has just joined them to star in.
The film, based on an ancient Chinese proverb, will be directed by Jieho Lee for Emilio Diez Barroso's Nala Films and Paul Schiff Productions. The story is a romantic crime story that follows four extraordinary tales of human emotion: Happiness, Sorrow, Pleasure and Love.

"It's not our goal to become huge. We don't want to be huge, we want to be high quality," so she said in a statement.
The annual event will among others include "Winter Passing," starring Zooey Deschanel, Will Ferrell and Ed Harris; Atom Egoyan's "Where the Truth Lies," starring Kevin Bacon and Colin Firth; "Lonesome Jim," directed by Steve Buscemi and starring Casey Affleck and Liv Tyler; and the historical drama "Fateless" about Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust.
