'Jonah Hex': First Look at Josh Brolin in Character
June 04, 2009 10:06:38Images of Josh Brolin in costume as the titular character in "Jonah Hex" have leaked out. Three in all, the photos come out via Lainey Gossip and uncover for the first time how the surly and cynical gunslinger/bounty hunter will look like in the big screen adaptation of the anti hero's comic series.
Jonah Hex is a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter. He is known for having the right side of his face disfigured and for wearing a Confederate army uniform. Making his first appearance in the early 1970s, the anti-hero character got its own self-titled series in 1977 and ran for about 10 years. A new series was launched in 2005.
Josh Brolin Allegedly Caught Cheating on Wife Diane Lane
May 27, 2009 03:05:11Tongue has been set wagging by In Touch Weekly's just-released story which claims actor Josh Brolin has cheated on his actress wife Diane Lane while he is filming his latest big screen flick "Jonah Hex" in New Orleans. Accompanying the report is a photo that allegedly shows Josh getting cozy with a woman in what appears to be a club.
Per the publication, Josh was seen partying together with a female local identified as Melissa Green at the Royal Street Inn back on May 21. After that, he was said escorting her to another location to hang out at 11:35 P.M. And the next morning, Josh and Melissa were spotted leaving the unnamed venue together at 7:23 A.M.

December 19, 2008 09:12:44Announcing their nominees selection for the 15th Annual SAG Awards on Thursday, December 18, Screen Actors Guild embraced "Doubt", giving the John Patrick Shanley's drama the most nominations. In the announcement made by Angela Bassett and Eric McCormack, it was revealed that the movie received five counts, including nod for outstanding performance by a motion picture cast.
For the cast ensemble title, "Doubt" will have to face tough contenders, "Frost/Nixon", "Milk", "Slumdog Millionaire" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Beside the cast ensemble category, the movie about sexual and religious power struggles at a Bronx Catholic school in 1964 has also secured nominations for each of its major cast member, Meryl Streep for leading actress category, and Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis for the supporting actor and actress categories.
New York Film Critics Circle Hailed 'Milk' 2008 Best Film
December 11, 2008 09:12:33Gaining awards momentum, "Milk" shows its domination by collecting three awards from New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC). On Wednesday, December 10, the biopic drama from director Gus Van Sant has been named the Best Picture of 2008 by the organization of film reviewers from New York-based publications.
Snagging two more kudos from the 2008 NYFCC, the movie about the gay-rights icon Harvey Milk who was tragically murdered a year after he was elected to public office brought recognitions for two of its performers, Sean Penn and Josh Brolin. Penn won the coveted Best Actor for his performance as Milk, while Brolin got the Best Supporting Actor prize for his portrayal of Dan White.
Full Nominees List of the 14th Annual Critics' Choice Awards
December 10, 2008 11:12:28On Tuesday, December 9, the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has unveiled their selections of movies and performers to compete in the 14th annual Critics' Choice Awards. Through the press conference at the MTV Network studios in Times Square, it is revealed that both "Milk" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" have shown strong domination with eight nominations for the awards.
The two drama movies will be up against each other in five categories, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Composer, Best Acting Ensemble and Best Actor, Sean Penn for "Milk" and Brad Pitt for "Benjamin Button". Beside those nods, "Milk" has also given two Best Supporting Actor gongs for James Franco and Josh Brolin, while "Benjamin Button" lands Best Actress count for Cate Blanchett and Best Supporting Actress nomination for Taraji P. Henson.
2008 National Board of Review's Winners Announced

The Danny Boyle's drama about a poor Indian boy who gets a shot at winning millions in a television game show has been given three kudos, including for the coveted Best Film prize.
Apart from taking the Best Film title, "Slumdog" also brings recognition to its actor, Dev Patel who won Breakthrough Performance by an Actor. Additionally, it also gives Best Adapted Screenplay for screenwriter Simon Beaufoy, who shares the prize with "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" writer Eric Roth.

Bush. On Tuesday, October 14, Lionsgate Films rolled down red carpet in front of Ziegfeld Theater in New York City to welcome the star-studded cast, film's crew as well as celebrity guests.

'W' Co-Stars Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright Arrested for Alleged Bar Fight
July 14, 2008 10:07:30Trying to act as true friends, actors Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Wright, and five other crew members of the biography drama flick "W" were arrested by police officers outside Stray Cats bar in Shreveport, L.A. early Saturday morning, July 12. They were all charged with interfering with police, a misdemeanor.
The arrest occurred at 2 A.M. after the co-stars and crew members tried to intervene officers who were attempting to arrest one of their entourage, 29-year-old Eric Felland, a lighting technician, for public intoxication and resisting arrest. The actors, according to the Shreveport Times, allegedly put up such a fuss that the police at the nightclub had to call for backup.

The starry cast of "American Gangster" really gets shinier this time as "The Goonies" star Josh Brolin has delightfully been added to the line-up. Joining the likes of Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, the 38-year-old actor will play a crooked, greedy NYPD cop named Det. Trupo who piggybacks an investigation carried out by his fellow lawman, Richie Roberts, played by Crowe.
A Universal Pictures production, "American Gangster" centers on the life of drug kingpin-turned-informant Frank Lucas (Washington) who teams up with Roberts to unveil criminals on the drug circuit. "Gladiator" helmer Ridley Scott has been tapped to direct with Steve Zaillian writing the script.
