Artist of the Week: Hawthorne Heights
August 04, 2008 12:08:13Hawthorne Heights are in full scale launching the promotion of their upcoming album "Fragile Future". The album is the first that the band do without guitarist Casey Calvert who died several months ago towards the end of 2007. The tragic death indeed put some marks in the band but went on becoming their motivation to step deeper on the music ground. "It was especially weird for us at our first show back," said drummer Eron Bucciarelli. "We have had to come to grips with all this, but Casey will always be in our hearts forever."
"Fragile Future" will be released on August 5 and is dedicated in loving memory of Calvert. The track "Five Becomes Four" is especially made in tribute to Casey. "We spent two long years, in which we endured more than I ever thought was possible, lost our best friend and poured everything we had left into the making of this," the band announced on their MySpace. "We're more proud of this than anything we've ever done."
Hawthorne Heights' Bassist Casey Calvert Died of Accidental Substance Abuse
December 18, 2007 02:12:41Casey Calvert of the band Hawthorne Heights died of accidental mixture of medications, it has been confirmed.
The guitarist, according to the results of an autopsy released Monday, December 17 by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington DC, died due to the "acute combined effects of opiate, citalopram and clonazepam intoxication."
Hawthorne Heights' Bassist Casey Calvert Found Dead in Band's Tour Bus
November 27, 2007 10:11:59Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvert passed away Friday November 23rd while on the band's tour bus in Washington, D.C. He was in mid 20s.
The cause of death has yet to be announced, although early reports suggest it may be related to acute asthma.

The US pop album charts Wednesday March 8th, 2006 was dominated by R&B singer Ne-Yo's debut solo release "In My Own Words" which opened at No. 1, selling 301,000 copies in the week ended March 5. Meanwhile, the soundtrack to the Disney Channel movie "High School Musical" by various artists slipped to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 128,000 copies, after one week at the top.
Sat at No. 3 was rock quintet Hawthorne Heights's "If Only You Were Lonely" which sold another 114,000 copies. Alan Jackson's "Precious Memories" was back on the Billboard 200 debuted at No. 4 with 107,000 copies, ahead of R&B singer Mary J. Blige's "The Breakthrough" which slipped one to No. 5 with 81,000 copies. Bounced from No. 14 to No. 6 is "The Legend of Johnny Cash" by Johnny Cash with another 80,000 copies.
