The album becomes Jay-Z's eleventh chart-topping record, passing Elvis Presley as a solo act who has the most No. 1 efforts. Also, the achievement places the rapper as the second artist with the most No. 1 albums among all acts just behind The Beatles who scored 19 No. 1 sets.

Carrie will be featured on song "I'll Be Home for Christmas" appearing on Elvis' latest Christmas LP "Elvis Presley Christmas Duets". She commented on the work, "I love traditional Christmas song ... A gold-plated gun and a pill bottle belonged to the late King of Rock n Roll Elvis Presley were among the items sold out at the annual Julien's Summer Auction held Saturday June 16th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The gun was sold for $28,800, whereas his prescription pill bottle raised $2,640. "We'd planned to sell the bottle with the pills, but the Los Angeles Police Department told us it would be a federal crime to do it, so sad to say we had to remove the pills," CEO Darren Julien said in a statement.

It's been twelve years after his death that Kurt Cobain, Nirvana singer-songwriter, is making another record. The late rocker, whose wealth in an estimated $50 million between October 2005 and October of this year, tops the top spot on Forbes' 6th annual Top-Earning Dead Celebrities list.
In the last 12 months, Cobain reportedly earned $50 million, which is said largely due to his widow, Courtney Love, who sold a stake in his song catalog to publishing company Primary Wave. The once proclaimed King of Pop Elvis Presley, who died in 1977 and reigned as the top earner from 2001 to 2005, slips to 2nd spot with earnings of $42 million.

The first home owned by Elvis Presley has been sold for $905,100 on the online auction service eBay. It's psychic Uri Geller and two partners who bought the Tennessee house of the King of Rock N Roll.
Revealing his intended meaning to buy the historical house, Geller said "We are unbelievably pleased. This is a piece of history. We intend to restore it to its old glory. We would like to bring sick children there (for tours), Palestinian children, Israeli children, American children. Hopefully one day we might get approval to turn it into a museum."

Posted on eBay Friday April 14th, the lone bid by Elvis Unlimited, an organization that operates an Elvis museum and shop in Randers, Denmark was for $100,000 by Tuesday morning, April 18th, 2006.

Music legend Elvis Presley is having his Memphis home named a US national historic landmark Monday March 27th, 2006. Graceland, a place where the king of Rock 'n' Roll died in 1977, joins the White House, Mount Vernon and Monticello in receiving the country's highest designation for historic properties.
"It would be difficult to tell the story of the 20th century without discussing the many contributions made by this legendary, iconic artist," said Interior Secretary Gale Norton during a ceremony at Presley's famous Memphis mansion. "It didn't take Americans and the rest of the world long to discover Elvis Presley," Norton added "and it is absolutely clear that they will never forget him."
