Kris Allen Working With Adele and Duffy's Collaborator
September 30, 2009 01:09:49Kris Allen is hitting studio with British songwriter/producer Eg White, the same man who contributed to Adele and Duffy's albums. Breaking the news is the winner of "American Idol" season 8 himself on his Twitter by giving a riddle and inviting fans to guess it.
Kris Allen will release his first studio installment in U.S. on November 17. For the effort, he gets help from The Calling's vocalist, Alex Band, and will enter studio with Kevin Rudolf in October. He is also said to work with The Fray's guitarist Joe King and acclaimed producers Salaam Remi (Nas, Amy Winehouse) and Claude Kelly (Leona Lewis, Akon).
Amy Winehouse or Duffy May Sing Soundtrack of Next Bond Movie
May 22, 2009 04:05:03The next James Bond movie might have either Amy Winehouse or Duffy singing its anthem. Opening up the matter was Michael G. Wilson, the producer and screenwriter of the film series, during an interview with The Sun.
"I would love to get Duffy to sing the next tune. I think she is wonderful. Amy Winehouse would be good too," Michael said. "We have started work on the new film, which I can't say anything about. Daniel Craig is very keen to get going."

Bagging an honor as Best Female Solo Artist, Duffy won over Adele, Beth Rowley, Estelle and M.I.A.. She added another prize to her collection in MasterCard British Album for her debut effort "Rockferry" after a stiff competition against Coldplay's "Viva La Vida", Elbow's "The Seldom Seen Kid", Radiohead's "In Rainbows" and The Ting Tings' "We Started Nothing".

Beyonce Knowles, Duffy Lined Up for 'X Factor' Finale
December 09, 2008 04:12:10This season's "The X Factor" aims it big as several international artists like Beyonce Knowles and Duffy are reportedly invited for the finale. While Beyonce is almost certain to appear on the December 13 show, Duffy is allegedly still in talks to join the line-up, The Sun reports.
According to the publication, Beyonce is most likely to perform her mid-tempo song "Irreplaceable" with contestant Alexandra Burke. The other finalists, Eoghan Quigg will make a duet with reformed boyband Boyzone while JLS will take the stage with Take That. Still, nothing is confirmed yet on this line up. Apart from doing a duet with celebrity guests, the three finalists will each be singing a favorite song they previously performed in the competition and a Christmas song.

The rock band were hailed Best Act in the World Today and their latest album "Viva la Vida" was given the honor as Best Album. "I don't think we're the best act in the room, let alone the world," Chris Martin, the band's frontman said.
The British event also saw winnings from Duffy, The Last Shadow Puppets, Keane, and Kaiser Chiefs. Duffy beat Adele and Santogold but she could not attend the event to receive the award. Puppets, which is a side project by Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner, picked up Best New Act. Turner appearing solo said, "Thank you very much. I understand it's voted by the readers so this means a lot of course. Unfortunately my partner couldn't be here because he had some trouble with the trains."
Duffy Set as Opening Act on Coldplay's Tour

The "Mercy" singer will also start kicking off her own major gigs in San Diego on October 9. She will then continue performing in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, and Chicago before joining Coldplay on stage in Cleveland, New Jersey, Boston, Washington DC, and Philadelphia.
