"The Tortured Poets Department" marks Swift's 13th No. 1 album in Australia, surpassing Madonna for sole possession of third place on the all-time list. She now trails only Jimmy Barnes and The Beatles for the most chart-topping albums in the country.
Meanwhile, "Fortnight", featuring Post Malone, becomes Swift's 12th No. 1 single in Australia. With this achievement, she ties Elvis Presley for third place on the list of artists with the most No. 1 singles, trailing only The Beatles.
Swift has also broken a new record, becoming the first artist to hold the entire top 10 positions on the singles chart. She now has 29 songs in the top 50, eclipsing the previous record of 20 held by Drake and herself.
"The Tortured Poets Department" also marks several other milestones. It is the most-sold vinyl album in ARIA history, the most-streamed LP in its opening week, and the biggest album debut since Adele's "25" in 2015. Remarkably, only two of Swift's studio or re-recorded albums have failed to reach the summit in Australia.
In addition to Swift's dominance, Pearl Jam's "Dark Matter" debuts at No. 2 on the albums chart. It is their 12th studio album and their eighth No. 1 album in Australia.
Taylor Swift's success in Australia continues with "Cruel Summer," which ascends to No. 1 on the singles chart for the first time. This marks Swift's 11th chart-topping single in the country, tying her with Madonna for the third-most No. 1 singles.
