Unforgettable Episode 2.03 Day of the Jackie

Carrie and Al are called in to investigate the murder of Scott Dirkson, who was poisoned to death in a swanky Manhattan hotel room. On their second search of the room, Carrie notices some minor details that don't match her memory of the first search, and she and Al locate a hidden mobile data extraction device. Jay informs them that the device was being used to listen in to the room directly above Dirkson's suite, where a press attaché for the UN had been staying with his lover. Based on this information and a toxicology report cross-referenced with international databases, Carrie and Al suspect the person who killed Dirkson is a member of a rogue paramilitary unit called Alpha Five, and that the killer is now targeting Dr. Okoro Dimka, a political and social activist from West Africa. By pouring over surveillance and paparazzi photos from the hotel and cross-referencing them with crime databases, the team is able to identify the killer as Jackie Mikhailova, an Alpha Five member who specializes in disguises and assassinations. With Dimka and Eliot's blessing, Carrie and Al set up a sting at a local restaurant, but a slight misstep by an undercover officer tips off Jackie and she escapes. Jackie manages to stay a step ahead of Carrie, and she fools the cops into believing that she'll pose as a reporter at Dimka's next public event. At the event, while the cops are busy scanning the reporters, Carrie notices a very slight difference between the current jumbotron set-up and the way it looked during the security run-thru. She races up to the jumbotron and confronts Jackie, arriving just in time to prevent her from shooting Dimka. After a scuffle and chase through the rafters, Carrie corners Jackie, who ingests what appears to be a poison pill and dies. Later, however, Carrie realizes that Jackie took a pill that put her into a death-like state temporarily, but didn't actually kill her. Carrie and Al locate the ambulance that was carrying Jackie, but they're too late. Jackie has escaped and fled the country for now...
