Sophie Episode 1.01 The Tornado

Looking for a little guidance after her dad passes away, Sophie Parker gets more than she bargained for when she goes to see a fortune-teller. Mr. Byrd warns her that it will be the worst year of her life. And just when she thinks she's hit rock bottom, her troubles will only be starting.

Back home, Sophie, who's eight months pregnant, is picking out colors for the nursery with best Pal Matt. Meanwhile, boyfriend Rick is fooling around with her BFF, Melissa.

Double gulp!

The next morning, Rick breaks up with Sophie and quits the talent agency they run together. Worse, he steals Melissa, the company's top-grossing actress, plus any other clients worth the ink on their 810 glossies. Luckily, Estelle Burroughs, who happens to be Sophie's late father's mistress, remains a loyal client -- but that's a whole other story.

Meanwhile, Sophie tries to carry on, with a little help from Matt, but there comes a point when a girl just needs to talk to her daddy. Paying a visit to her dad's grave, she pleads for a sign ... and gets one. Her water breaks!

Sophie's rushed to the hospital and, in the delivery room, Matt, Estelle, and Estelle's daughter OPhelia are there to talk her through labor. But when her little boy is born, they're speechless.

He's beautiful. But how's Sophie going to cope with a baby in the middle of this tornado?
