AceShowbiz - Drake wasn't pleased with DJ Mustard working with his nemesis Kendrick Lamar on his diss track, "Not Like Us". Upon learning that the DJ helped K-Dot shoot a music video for the track, the "For All the Dogs" artist fired back by following Mustard's ex-wife, Chanel Thierry, on Instagram.
Fans found out Drizzy's subtle clapback on Thursday, June 27. Chanel herself, who split from Mustard following a year of marriage back in 2022, also follows the Canadian rapper.
The move was met with a mixed reaction. "Mind you Mustard is already in a new relationship & is expecting a child with her. Aubreisha moves like a teenage girl [crying emojis]," one user argued. Another added, "If he can pull a trigger, yeah it's not over. I just don't see him dropping another diss track. IG gimmicks, he must stick to those."
Aside from being the mastermind of Kendrick's "Not Like Us", Mustard also attended K-Dot's Juneteenth concert, "The Pop Out - Ken & Friends". He even wore a Toronto hat at the show.
However, Mustard denied taking a jab at Drake. He said, "I wasn't trolling. I really wasn't trolling…I bought a lot of hats that I like. I bought an STL hat, an Angels hat, a Braves hat. I put Faith of a Mustard Seed [the title of his new album] on all of them."
"I sweated out two of my hats at Pop Out [Kendrick Lamar's Inglewood concert] and that was the last hat that I had with Faith of a Mustard Seed on it," he added. "It just happened to be a Toronto Blue Jays hat."
